2021 Honda CRF450RWE Dyno Test

Horsepower and torque figures on Big Red’s Works Edition motocross bike

The 2021 Honda CRF450RWE is the most expensive motocross bike on the market at $12,380. What makes it demand such a high price tag and cost $2,781 more than the standard 2021 Honda CRF450R? Lots of trick parts. We detailed all of them in our model information article about the bike, but the ones of interest for this dyno test are the hand-ported cylinder head, Yoshimura RS-12 full titanium exhaust system, and Twin Air air filter.

It’s worth noting the RS-12 that comes on the CRF450RWE is unique to the special-edition model and different than Yoshimura’s off-the-shelf version for the 2021 CRF450R and CRF450RX. With the engine performance-enhancing add-ons over the standard model, the CRF450RWE produces the most peak horsepower of all the 450 motocross bikes on the market with 56.7 hp at 9,600 rpm. Peak torque was documented at 34.8 pound-feet at 7,100 rpm.
