How Much Power Does the 2026 KTM 450 XC-F Make?

Dyno testing KTM’s flagship cross-country motorcycle for horsepower and torque.

KTM’s 450 XC-F was all-new in 2023 and it enjoyed a midgeneration update for 2025 that included a new six-speed transmission. This year brings fewer revisions with a new threaded radiator cap, new CPC fuel connector protection cap, and the switch to Dunlop Geomax AT82 tires. A lot hasn’t changed on the 450 XC-F for 2026, and that includes its fuel-injected liquid-cooled SOHC four-stroke 450cc single-cylinder engine cranking out impressive peak figures. According to Dirt Rider’s in-house Dynojet 250i rear-wheel dynamometer, the Austrian manufacturer’s MY26 flagship cross-country motorcycle produces 55.8 hp and 33.6 lb.-ft. of torque.

“The 450 XC-F engine is an absolute tractor,” test rider Allan Brown said. “It has the most usable all-around power, and you can ride it longer with less fatigue than the competition. Add in its six-speed gearbox and you quickly have the best powerplant in the class, by far.”
