2022 Husqvarna FC 250 Rockstar Edition Dyno Test

Special-edition Husky sets new 250F horsepower and torque records.

Husqvarna has set new records in the 250 four-stroke motocross bike class with its 2022 FC 250 Rockstar Edition. This machine received a slew of updates, many of which were to the engine. The Austrian brand’s goal was to increase midrange, and it evidently increased high rpm power as well.

The FC 250 Rockstar Edition makes the most peak horsepower and torque of all the 250F motocrossers to spin the drum on the Dirt Rider dyno to date with 41.4 hp at 13,000 rpm and 19.6 lb.-ft. of torque at 9,000 rpm.

Prior to this, the highest peak horsepower from a 250F was the 2021 KTM 250 SX-F and the most maximum torque was held by none other than the 2021 Husqvarna FC 250. Will this new-generation Husqvarna continue to set the world on fire in 2023 and beyond? If this empirical data and our impressions of the bike on the dirt dyno are any indication, the answer may very well be, “Yes.”
