2021 Honda CRF450RL Dyno Test

How much power does Honda’s 450cc street-legal dirt bike make?

2019 marked Honda’s entry into the high-end street-legal dirt bike market with its CRF450L. Sharing most of its components with the CRF450X off-road model, the CRF450L underwent a name change to CRF450RL for 2021 to reflect its being based on the CRF450R motocrosser rather than the CRF300L.

Aside from the name change, the CRF450RL’s updates for MY21 include a remapped ECU, the addition of hand guards, red side number plates, and new graphics. On the Dirt Rider dyno, the CRF450RL produced peak figures of 38.7 hp at 7,600 rpm and 27.8 pound-feet of torque at 6,600 rpm.
