Eli Tomac Signs with Red Bull KTM Factory Racing

Two-time AMA Supercross 450SX and four-time Pro Motocross 450MX champ’s move to orange is official.

Top-level rider signings for the 2026 AMA Supercross, Pro Motocross, and SuperMotocross Championships continue to be announced, and one of the most highly anticipated team changes this offseason has been confirmed with Eli Tomac putting pen to paper with Red Bull KTM Factory Racing.

“It’s that time of year again when we start preparing for the upcoming season with new riders and bikes, and we welcome Eli into the team for 2026,” Red Bull KTM Factory Racing Team Manager Ian Harrison said. “It’s always interesting to bring in a rider such as Eli, who we have raced against over the last decade and we’ve always looked for ways to beat him, but now we are focusing on how we can support him to win. I am confident that our team and all of the riders will benefit from his experience and maturity.”

From 2010–2025, Eli Tomac raced for Japanese manufacturers Honda, Kawasaki, and Yamaha. His switch to KTM for 2026 will be his first time competing aboard an Austrian machine as a professional rider.KTM

The 32-year-old’s switch to orange marks his third manufacturer change in his professional career, having raced for Honda from 2010–2015, Kawasaki from 2016–2021, and Yamaha from 2022–2025. Tomac has raced a KTM before, but it was nearly a quarter-century ago at the 2001 Phoenix Supercross aboard a 50 SX as a competitor in the KTM Junior Supercross program. The Colorado native’s first AMA race on his 450 SX-F Factory Edition will be Anaheim 1 on January 10, 2026.
