2024 Husqvarna FC 450 Rockstar Edition Technical Information

Features and specifications of Husqvarna’s special-edition 450 motocrosser.

Since unveiling its FC 250 and FC 450 Rockstar Editions in 2022, Husqvarna’s full-size motocross and cross-country racers have used a more rigid chassis than prior years. Although still excellent machines, Husqvarna sought to find some of the flex its previous-generation models were so well known for when developing the 2024 FC 250 and FC 450 Rockstar Editions. We recently swung a leg over the larger displacement of the two at Fox Raceway but before we publish our feedback about the bike’s performance, we took this opportunity to highlight some of the differences between the FC 450 Rockstar Edition and its predecessors. Keep scrolling for that very information.

In addition to being powdercoated white instead of black, as was the case since it was first introduced in 2018, the Husqvarna FC 450 Rockstar Edition’s frame sees updates throughout in 2024.Jeff Allen
Its fuel-injected liquid-cooled SOHC four-stroke 450cc single-cylinder engine boasts an updated air intake sleeve and snorkel. On our in-house dyno, this mill pumps out 55.5 hp and 33.5 lb.-ft. of torque at the rear wheel.Jeff Allen
Header pipe is the same as what’s found on the standard FC 450 but the same can’t be said of the muffler, which is an FMF Factory 4.1 RCT titanium slip-on.Jeff Allen
A removable spark arrestor is installed in the muffler’s carbon fiber end-cap.Jeff Allen
Clutch is stock, but Husqvarna adds a Rekluse cover to enhance the bike’s factory appearance.Jeff Allen
One of the biggest talking points on this model for 2024 is the Connectivity Unit Offroad (CUO). Among other features, it allows users to adjust engine-braking, launch control and traction control (TC) settings, as well as quickshifter (QS) sensitivity.Jeff Allen
Changes made to launch control, TC, and QS in the Ride Husqvarna Motorcycles smartphone app can be felt when those functions are activated via the switch on the left side of the ProTaper handlebar.Jeff Allen
Settings in the WP Xact front and rear suspension components have been altered to match the chassis updates.Jeff Allen
There’s a new shock body cover that, like the previous design, can be removed to access the low- and high-speed compression adjusters.Jeff Allen
Bell crank and pullrod have been revised to help decrease chassis rigidity.Jeff Allen
One of the most significant updates made to the double-cradle chromoly steel frame is that material has been taken out of the shock tower to improve chassis comfort.Jeff Allen
Engine mounts with cutouts are another chassis-related change aimed at increasing flex.Jeff Allen
Although less noticeable in terms of being visibly different, Husqvarna revised the swingarm as well.Jeff Allen
Rear brake pedal tip is new, and designed to be stronger and less susceptible to bending.Jeff Allen
Factory Racing triple clamps are split in the middle unlike the standard model’s, and have an adjustable offset of 20mm or 22mm.Jeff Allen
While KTM’s and GasGas’ Factory Edition models have their respective brand logos on their Factory Racing triple clamps, Husqvarna’s Rockstar Editions are adorned with a WP emblem.Jeff Allen
Black anodized hubs have been a staple on the FC 450 Rockstar Edition since 2022.Jeff Allen
Brembo brake calipers are identical to the standard model’s.Jeff Allen
A floating front brake disc is covered by a carbon composite guard.Jeff Allen
Another carbon composite item is the skid plate.Jeff Allen
Like Malcolm Stewart’s and Christian Craig’s racebikes, the FC 450 Rockstar Edition on dealership floors features a Guts Racing seat cover.Jeff Allen
Dirt start ready. Husqvarna’s special-edition flagship motocrosser is equipped with a WP holeshot device in stock trim.Jeff Allen
Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing in-mold graphics are new, and match the white frame and rest of the bike’s color scheme well.Jeff Allen
A ProTaper handlebar pad is another item exclusive to the Rockstar Editions.Jeff Allen
Rolled onto Dirt Rider’s automotive scales with a full tank of fuel, the FC 450 Rockstar Edition weighs 242 pounds.Jeff Allen
