After adding the FC 250 Rockstar Edition to its lineup in 2022 , Husqvarna didn’t bring it back the following year , rather waiting for 2024 . More good news about the Austrian brand’s up-spec 250cc four-stroke motocross bike is that it’s been given updates throughout, namely to its double-cradle chromoly steel frame and the addition of Connectivity Unit Offroad (CUO). Read on to learn more about what’s new on the Husqvarna FC 250 Rockstar Edition in its second year on the market.
Husqvarna’s FC 250 Rockstar Edition made its first appearance in 2022, disappeared from the lineup last year, and has reemerged for 2024. Mark Kariya As far as powerplant-related changes, Husqvarna updated the air intake sleeve and snorkel to a one-piece design. Clutch cover is supplied by Rekluse, but the rest of the clutch is OEM. Mark Kariya The FC 250 Rockstar Edition’s fuel-injected liquid-cooled DOHC four-stroke 250cc single-cylinder engine produces 40.6 hp and 19.5 lb.-ft. of torque at the rear wheel, as measured by the Dirt Rider dyno. Mark Kariya Paired with the stock header pipe is an FMF Factory 4.1 RCT titanium slip-on muffler. Mark Kariya Connectivity Unit Offroad (CUO) is a new feature for 2024. The two-part system pairs with the Ride Husqvarna Motorcycles smartphone app to allow users to adjust engine-braking, launch control and traction control (TC) settings, and quickshifter (QS) sensitivity, among other features. Mark Kariya This dual engine map, TC, launch control, and QS module was introduced on the FC 250 and FC 450 Rockstar Editions in 2022, and has been in place on Husqvarna’s four-stroke motocross and cross-country models since 2023. Mark Kariya With a sticker that’s easier to see thanks to a white frame background, users are reminded which engine map is which and informed how to activate launch control. Mark Kariya The easiest way to tell a previous-generation Austrian bike frame (that was first seen on the 2022 Husqvarna FC 250 and FC Rockstar Editions) from the newer version is that the latter has a cutout in both sides of the shock tower. Mark Kariya Cutout engine mounts are another new item to aid in chassis flex. Mark Kariya Although not as significantly changed as the frame, Husqvarna made refinements to the swingarm too. Mark Kariya Of course, the Austrian brand spec’d different settings in the WP Xact 48mm air fork and WP Xact shock to match the new chassis. This angle provides a clearer look at the windowed shock tower. Mark Kariya Factory Racing triple clamps are one of many up-spec items from Husqvarna’s Technical Accessories catalog. Mark Kariya Hubs are CNC-machined like the standard model’s but anodized black. Mark Kariya The FC 250 and FC 450 Rockstar Editions are Husqvarna’s first motocross bikes to use Dunlop Geomax MX34 tires. Mark Kariya Brembo brake calipers and master cylinders are the same as what’s found on the standard FC 250. Differences in the binder department on the special-edition model are its floating front brake disc and carbon composite guard. Mark Kariya The only special-edition motocross bikes that come with a holeshot device in stock trim are from Austria. The devices are made by WP. Mark Kariya In line with the Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing machines of RJ Hampshire, Guillem Farres, and Casey Cochran, the FC 250 Rockstar Edition has a Guts Racing gripper seat cover. Mark Kariya A view from above of the control area. Mark Kariya Gray ODI lock-on grips are softer than the black ones found on Husqvarna’s standard-model dirt bikes. Mark Kariya Taking the place of the Husqvarna-branded handlebar pad used on all of the Austrian brand’s other models except the FC 450 Rockstar Edition is a ProTaper item. Mark Kariya The FC 250 Rockstar Edition hits our automotive scales at 238 pounds wet, which is 1 pound more than the regular FC 250. Mark Kariya 2024 Husqvarna FC 250 Rockstar Edition Specs
