VIDEO Talking Supercross – Weight Training, Core, Or Cardio?

One question, 7 top racers’ answers

Training has basically become a racer’s full-time job. Sure, they have to ride a dirt bike a lot and work on technique, but at this extremely competitive level, a racer’s fitness has to be maximized as much as humanly possible. But for these guys, they have plenty of time to work on weight training, core, and cardio, among many other things. Not so much for the weekend warrior. So if push came to shove and they could only choose one with the most benefit, we wanted to know which they would choose.

We grabbed Monster Energy/Knich/Yamaha Factory Racing's Justin Barcia and Cooper Webb, CR22 Racing's Chad Reed, Red Bull KTM's Marvin Musquin, Autotrader/Yoshimura/Suzuki Factory Racing's Westin Peick, Monster Energy Kawasaki's Josh Grant, and Team Honda HRC's Ken Roczen to get their opinion on the matter. The answer doesn't really surprise us, but it is interesting to hear the consistency and also each rider's reason for choosing that as their answer.
