Jorge Prado Signs with Red Bull KTM Factory Racing

After a year away, the Spanish racer returns to an Austrian bike (this time orange instead of red).

Jorge Prado’s debut in AMA Supercross came in 2024 with the Red Bull GasGas Factory Racing team. The Spanish rider competed in rounds 1-4 before returning to Europe and winning his second premier-class FIM Motocross World Championship title. He came back to the United States in 2025, this time with the Monster Energy Kawasaki team to contest the entire AMA Supercross season along with the Pro Motocross series and SuperMotocross World Championship.

A dislocated shoulder sidelined Prado early in the 2025 AMA Supercross Championship, and his results outdoors weren’t what he felt he was capable of. Prado publicly stated he wasn’t happy with his bike, and rumors began circulating that he and Monster Energy Kawasaki weren’t gelling. Then there was talk of him returning to Red Bull KTM Factory Racing (the team he raced for prior to Red Bull GasGas Factory Racing). Sure enough, the 24-year-old found his way back to an orange bike—this time to take on the 2026 AMA Supercross, Pro Motocross, and SuperMotocross Championships.

Jorge Prado won his FIM Motocross World Championship MX2 titles with Red Bull KTM Factory Racing in 2018 and 2019, and captured the MXGP crown in 2023 and 2024 with Red Bull GasGas Factory Racing. He’s no stranger to winning on Austrian equipment, and is back in orange for 2026 to find the success he longs for in United States competition.KTM

“Jorge had been in the KTM family for a long time with a lot of success in Europe prior to this past season,” Red Bull KTM Factory Racing Team Manager Ian Harrison said. “He trained alongside our team at the beginning of 2024, so for us it is an opportunity to have him back where he feels most at home, and to help him achieve his goals in the United States.

“Collectively, the team dynamic is really strong leading into the new year, everybody is quite familiar, even if 50 percent of the rider lineup is new for next season. Right now, it’s time to keep our heads down and keep progressing leading into Anaheim 1, and we will be ready to go racing together come January.”
