Garrett Marchbanks Signs with Monster Energy Kawasaki

Utah native is set to race his first full year in the 450 class.

When Jorge Prado left Monster Energy Kawasaki after just one year of what was supposed to be a three-year contract, there was lots of speculation as to who would fill his spot. Rumors of Ken Roczen going green circulated, but that didn’t come to fruition. Instead, Kawasaki called Garrett Marchbanks up from the 250 division to contest the premier class in 2026 aboard its factory KX450SR.

“I’m super pumped to be moving up to the 450 class full-time with Monster Energy Kawasaki,” Marchbanks said. “This is an incredible opportunity, and I’m honored that they see the potential in me to move up. I’m looking forward to the new challenge and showing everyone what I am capable of. I’ve been wanting to show my skills on a 450, and I can’t picture a better team to do it with. Kawasaki has always been family for me since minibikes, and I’m glad I get to continue my career with such an amazing crew.”

Garrett Marchbanks has plenty of time aboard Kawasaki dirt bikes and some gate drops in the 450 class, and he’ll aim to combine that experience to his advantage when racing for Monster Energy Kawasaki in the premier class.Kawasaki

Marchbanks’ new deal puts him among a select few that have competed for all three of Kawasaki’s factory motocross teams including Kawasaki Team Green (amateur), Monster Energy Pro Circuit Kawasaki (250 pro) and Monster Energy Kawasaki (450 pro). The 24-year-old’s first race on the KX450SR will be Anaheim 1 on January 10, 2026.
