Team Suzuki's Glenn Kearney Sidelined from GNCC with a Broken Leg - News - Dirt Rider Magazine

Unfortunate Injury Sidelines Suzuki's Glenn KearneyAfter taking the first half of the GNCC series by storm, Team Suzuki FMF Rider Glenn Kearney has unfortunately suffered a broken leg and dislocated ankle.

Kearney was making the most of an off weekend by racing at a local hare scrambles in New York State when he collided with another rider 300 meters from the finish line. GK suffered a compound fracture of his tibia, while also breaking his fibula and dislocating his ankle all on his right leg. He has already been in surgery and received screws and plates to set the break and aid in recovery.

The young Australian is currently sitting 3rd in the GNCC Championship points standings and although he will miss "The Wisp"—Round 9 in Maryland—he is still unsure of whether or not he will be able to return when the series continues. This incident also means that Kearney will not be defending his title of Australian Enduro Champion at the Australia Four Day Enduro this July 28–31.

Kearney's website, www.glennkearneyracing.com will be updated when more information is available.
