Factory KTM Rider Thierry Van Den Bosch Wins His Second Supermoto World TitleLike some Supermoto riders, Thierry Van Den Bosch was a former motocross rider, but his first success came when he moved from MX to Supermoto at the end of the 90's. He was French Champion in 1999, 2000, 2001 and 2002 and European Champion in 2000 and 2002.After also winning the 2002 the Supermoto World Champion, he tried his hand at road racing in 2003 aboard a Yamaha 600. But plagued with technical problems and injuries, it was a bad year for him. Before the end of the season Van Den Bosch returned to racing Supermoto with KTM.After the Spanish race, Van Den Bosch said, "It's always difficult to compare two World titles. My first one, two years ago, will always stay in my memory as it was a new championship, but this one is also really nice for me, especially after a difficult road-racing season. I learned a lot there and even if some people thought that it would be difficult for me to get another Supermoto title, I'm glad I got it."I'd like to thank everyone on my team, our sponsors Michelin and Red Bull and my personal sponsor. They trusted me, and I'm happy to give them something back. I want to dedicate this title to Mr. Seurat, who died this year. He was the first manager who offered me a ride in Supermoto."
