2026 Bimota BX450 First Look

This Italian 450cc enduro motorcycle receives its first overhaul since hitting the market in 2023.

Bimota’s BX450 was unveiled at EICMA in 2022 and its first year of production was as a 2023 model. From 2023–2025, the Italian enduro shared the majority of its components with the 20212023Kawasaki KX450X cross-country motorcycle. For 2026, the BX450 moves to the current-generation (20242026) KX450X platform—the most significant changes being a new aluminum perimeter frame and heavily updated fuel-injected liquid-cooled DOHC four-stroke 449cc single-cylinder engine.

From 2023–2025, Bimota’s BX450 shared the same platform as the 2021–2023 Kawasaki KX450X. For 2026, the Italian manufacturer has moved its 450cc enduro to the current-generation (2024–2026) KX450X platform.Bimota

How does the BX450 differ from a KX450X? For starters, it’s spec’d with an Athena Get ECU with model-specific settings. A handlebar-mounted SX1 controller gives riders access to two engine maps, 10 levels of traction control, and launch control mode. Muffler is an Akrapovič Slip-On Line titanium unit and tires are Metzeler MCE 6 Days Extreme in 90/100-21 front and 140/80-18 rear sizing. In true enduro fashion, the BX450 is outfitted with a headlight and hand guards. The Italian machine wears its country colors with white plastic, a red seat, and Bimota graphics with green accents.
