2024 Beta Xtrainer First Look

Beta’s entry-level enduro features new safety and security system for 2024.

Since 2015, Beta has offered an entry-level off-road motorcycle with its Xtrainer (pronounced “cross trainer”). As far as mechanical updates go for 2024, the Italian machine has been given a new security and safety system.

Complementing Beta’s lineup of RR models, the Xtrainer serves as the Italian manufacturer’s entry-level off-road motorcycle.Beta

The patented device provides a secure electronic lockout key exclusive to the model. This and a steering lock are designed to decrease the chances of the bike being stolen. Another new feature of the system is it allows the rider to wear a wristband tether that turns the engine off in the event of a crash. Beta also wrapped the model in fresh graphics.

A new security and safety system has been added to help deter thieves and prevent the engine from continuing to run if rider and bike become separated.Beta

The heart of the Xtrainer continues to be a liquid-cooled two-stroke 292cc engine with electronic oil injection and a Keihin PWK 36mm carburetor. According to Beta, it’s tuned to have softer power than the RR models. For suspension, there’s an Ollé R16V 43mm coil-spring fork and Ollé R16V shock, both offering 10.6 inches of travel.

The Xtrainer’s chromoly steel frame features a parameter design and is roughly 15 percent smaller than the RR models. Claimed seat height is a low 35.8 inches to help beginner and experienced riders alike put their feet on the ground in tricky situations. The Italian manufacturer lists wet weight at 239 pounds wet, without fuel. The 2024 Beta Xtrainer will be available in September 2023 for a suggested retail price of $8,399.

The Xtrainer comes equipped with a radiator fan to keep its carbureted liquid-cooled two-stroke 292cc engine running at optimal temperature.Beta
