2026 Beta 430 RS Technical Overview

Features and specifications of Beta’s 430cc four-stroke dual sport motorcycle for 2026.

Beta has been producing 430cc four-stroke machinery for over a decade, and the 430 RS is one of its most unique dual sport models. While the 500 RS may be the best-selling of all the Beta dual sports, it’s the smaller displacements that have become cult classics. Available in 350, 390, 430, and 500cc four-stroke trims, Beta truly offers something for everyone interested in a street-legal dirt bike.

Building a motorcycle that’s competitive both on- and off-road is no easy task, but Beta has always been up for the challenge. Continuous development of its RS line while maintaining 50-state street-legal status keeps Beta in a rare club of performance-minded dual sport manufacturers. Read on to learn about the 2026 Beta 430 RS, which is available at dealers with a suggested retail price of $12,590.

After being absent from Beta’s 2025 catalog, the RS models’ main updates for 2026 are a new double-cradle chromoly steel frame and Xtrig FlexFix elastomer handlebar mounts. On our automotive scales, the 430 RS weighs 278 pounds wet.Jeff Allen
Beta’s fuel-injected liquid-cooled DOHC four-stroke 431cc single-cylinder engine design utilizes titanium intake and steel exhaust valves. With a bore and stroke of 95.0mm and 60.8mm, respectively, displacement is 431cc. Peak figures of 35.7 hp and 27.7 lb.-ft. of torque were documented on Dirt Rider’s in-house Dynojet 250i rear-wheel dynamometer.Jeff Allen
A six-speed transmission is bathed in its own fluid, as the entire RS line relies on separate compartments for both engine and transmission oils.Jeff Allen
A steel head pipe is aesthetically pleasing and durable, just like the included skid plate and frame guard protectors.Jeff Allen
Beta utilizes a very restrictive muffler to ensure 50-state compliance. The spark arrestor is removable for those so inclined.Jeff Allen
A ZF Sachs 48mm open-cartridge coil-spring fork features compression damping, rebound damping, and spring preload tunability. Rebound adjuster is on the left fork cap, while the right fork cap features the compression and spring preload adjusters.Jeff Allen
A ZF Sachs shock features spring preload, high- and low-speed compression damping, and rebound damping adjustability.Jeff Allen
The gold center screw is the low-speed compression damping adjuster and the larger red knob is the high-speed compression damping adjuster. Rebound adjustment is located near the linkage, and (like the low-speed compression adjuster) is best tuned with a flat-blade screwdriver.Jeff Allen
According to the owner’s manual, shock spring rate is 54 Nm and suitable for riders between 154–198 pounds (or 70–90 kg; Beta is an Italian manufacturer after all). Spring rates from 52–60 Nm are available for riders of all shapes and sizes. From these angles, the new rear brake master cylinder and D.I.D O-ring chain are also visible.Jeff Allen
Beta’s swingarm is unique amongst dual sport offerings in that it’s two-tone and doesn’t have a top chain guard in stock trim.Jeff Allen
Sprockets are built for Beta by ZF. Our testbike was delivered with 15/49 gearing.Jeff Allen
Excel Takasago rims are quality components. The black rims contrasted by silver nipples and black spokes are eye-catching in person.Jeff Allen
Mitas Enduro Trail XT+ tires are new for 2026, which replace the Maxxis MaxxEnduro rubber found on prior models.Jeff Allen
Nissin supplies the braking components, including the front caliper. A 260mm rotor gets the 430 RS stopped smoothly and predictably.Jeff Allen
In the rear, a Nissin single-piston caliper and 240mm rotor handle the stopping power. Steel-braided brake lines connect the Nissin master cylinders and calipers.Jeff Allen
A 200W high-output stator runs the LED headlight and taillight, and turn signals.Jeff Allen
New radiator shrouds for 2026 are sleeker than ever before. The translucent 2.4-gallon fuel tank is one of my personal favorites, as keeping an eye on fuel level is a piece of cake.Jeff Allen
Steel footpegs are ready for adventure, and more off-road in appearance than traditional dual sport offerings.Jeff Allen
Trail Tech’s Voyager GPS unit comes standard and offers over 40 unique functions. Downloadable trail maps, a navigation system, tripmeter, altimeter, hourmeter, and temperature readings are just some of the onboard features.Jeff Allen
Lights, horn, and turn signals are all controlled from this switch located on the clutch side of the handlebar.Jeff Allen
Engine start and stop buttons are located on the throttle side. Beta’s foldable mirrors can be articulated inward when transitioning from on-road to off-road.Jeff Allen
Traditional glue-on grips adorn the RS models: They’re dual-compound and thicker in diameter than most would expect.Jeff Allen
Hand guards come standard, highlighting the RS models’ versatility. Uniquely Beta, its Nissin front brake master cylinders are coated black for both looks and durability.Jeff Allen
Visually stunning, Beta red certainly stands out in a crowd. Found similarly on RX motocross, RC cross-country, and RR X-Pro and RR Race off-road models, the RS lineup boasts convenient features like push-button seat removal and no-tools air filter access. It’s little things like this that Beta does to enhance ownership.Jeff Allen
Available now, the 2026 Beta 430 RS retails for $12,590. Beta’s 24-month limited warranty applies to each and every RS model sold, representing the brand’s confidence in its products.Jeff Allen
