Inside Line Connect invited us to Cahuilla Creek MX for the Southern California-based company’s annual media camp. One of Inside Line Connect’s specialties is getting exposure for the moto industry brands it represents. The media camp, which is organized by Jason “Hapa” McCune, allows editors to get some one-on-one time in a “speed dating” type of format with the companies Inside Line Connect works with, one of which is 6D Helmets.
6D Helmets is based out of Brea, California, and its flagship motocross and off-road helmet is the ATR-2. It's still relatively new to the market, as we first got the opportunity to see the ATR-2 at Brian Deegan's compound in Temecula, California, back in February. The ATR-2 features patented Omni-Directional Suspension (ODS) technology, which begins working the moment any force is applied to the shell. Its suspended inner liner travels and shears under crash impact loading, which is designed to reduce energy transfer to the brain. The ATR-2 costs $695 for the Aero, Circuit, Metric, Sector, and Strike colorways, and $650 for solid white.
