2018 Husqvarna FC, TC, FX, and TX Models Announced

The TC 85 is all new and the rest of the 2018 Husqvarna range sees some updates on the motocross & off-road models.

Husqvarna has announced its FC/TC and FX/TX ranges of motorcycles. FC stands for “four-stroke motocross” and TC stands for “two-stroke motocross” while FX stands for “four-stroke cross country” and TX stands for “two-stroke cross country.” You’ll notice that the FE and TE models (enduro) are not included in this announcement, yet we do have have a slightly vague invite in our mailbox that tells us we’ll be getting the lowdown, and even a ride, on those 2018 models very soon.

For what know for sure, the biggest news is an all-new TC 85. It is basically a mini version of the TC 125/250 without the linkage and composite rear end. The steel frame is all-new as is the aluminum, not composite, subframe that is said to be lighter and shorter. The suspension is takes from the big bikes as well with a WP AER 43 fork (one leg with an air spring and the other for damping) and a specific version of the new Xplor PDS shock since the TC 85 still doesn’t have any linkage. Both front and rear wheel travel has been increased.

The 85’s engine is all-new yet with an unchanged bore and stroke (47/48.95 mm) with a new power valve, new cylinder and ports, new crankshaft, new crankcases, new, lighter gear box, and new diaphragm clutch. All this goes along with a new airbox, new radiators, and new “no dirt” footpegs that have been on the big bikes for a couple years.

On the full-sized models, they all get pretty much the same few changes. Say goodbye to Brembo as the standard braking components on the white bikes; they now have Magura Braking Systems matched up with 260 mm front and 220 mm rear discs made by GSK. They also get new Li-Ion batteries that are obviously lighter and smaller, new graphics, and new seat covers. Only the TC 125 and 250 get updated settings on their Mikuni carbs.

2018 HUSQVARNA TC 85

Raising the bar in the ultra-competitive 85cc class, the new generation TC 85 features much of the same technology found in the successful full-size Husqvarna motocross line-up. With an all-new frame and state of the art WP suspension, young mini riders can push the limit with total confidence. Featuring a new engine that delivers a broader and more controllable power delivery the new TC 85 offers top-level performance and durability for the stars of tomorrow.

Frame
Professionally crafted by WP Performance Systems, the Chromium Molybdenum steel frame is constructed using hydro formed tubes joined by precision robot welding to ensure the highest level of consistent quality.

The frame employs an all-new geometry aimed at tailoring flex characteristics for improved handling and comfort. Together with the new laterally-mounted cylinder head mountings the result is an increase in torsional rigidity of 7%, with longitudinal stiffness being reduced by 25%. This allows the frame to move in harmony with the suspension soaking up big hits while delivering improved agility and high-speed stability.

Additionally, the frame is fitted with new “no dirt” footpegs that prevent the build-up of dirt collected through deep ruts and muddy terrain. The simple but effective self-cleaning system ensures the footpegs return to their original position, providing complete control in all conditions.

The frame is finished off in a highly durable white powder coating with standard frame protectors.

Subframe

Made from lightweight aluminum, the new subframe features a shorter and more compact profile. Overall, the component is now 75 mm shorter and 0.4 lbs (0.2 kg) lighter contributing to the overall weight reduction while also improving mass centralization.

Swingarm

Manufactured using a gravity die-cast production process, the one-piece aluminum swingarm offers exceptional strength at the lowest possible weight. For easy maintenance, the chain adjustment markings are visible from above, making adjustment even simpler.

WP suspension

Mirroring the latest technology found in the Husqvarna full-size motocross range, the TC 85 features all new WP suspension.

Up front, the WP AER 43 consists of a split fork design using a capsuled air spring in the left leg and the trusted oil damping system in the right leg. The new components offer a significant improvement in suspension performance with an increase in wheel travel to 280 mm total (+10 mm). Additionally, adjustment is made simpler thanks to the single air pressure valve and supplied air pump for preload and easy access clickers for compression and rebound.

On the rear, the TC 85 is fitted with a specific version of the new WP Xplor PDS shock absorber. The design offers improved progression and response that is further improved by lowering the mounted angle by 3°. Wheel travel is increased by 5 mm and is 305 mm in total.

The WP Xplor PDS is fully adjustable for preload, compression and rebound.

Handlebar, grips, throttle

The TC 85 features a lightweight and strong tapered aluminum handlebar that is fitted with a new throttle assembly for easy free play adjustment. Additionally, the TC 85 is fitted with ODI lock on grips as standard. The system includes a vulcanized grip on the right side while the lock-on grip on the left does not require glue or wire for mounting.

Bodywork/seat

The TC 85 features all-new bodywork modelled after the successful full-size Husqvarna motocross line-up. When scaled down to the proportions of an 85cc rider, the contact points and feeling remain the same allowing the younger riders to feel the same control and comfort found on the larger models. The improved ergonomics instill confidence while leaving room for free and unrestricted movement thanks to the broader and flatter seat and one-piece airbox covers.

Durable in-mold graphics accent the bodywork in blue, white and yellow as a tribute to Husqvarna’s Swedish roots.

Cooling
New radiators produced by WP Performance Systems are designed using CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) to ensure the ideal passage of air through the cooling fins. Combined with a revised routing of the coolant circuit, the new system ensures optimum engine temperature for the highest performance in varying conditions.

The new radiator protectors not only serve as protection from flying rocks and debris but also serve as a brace diverting energy around the radiators in the event of an impact.

Airbox
The new airbox is designed to offer the best possible performance with the highest level of filter protection.

The air filter is easily accessed, without tools, by removing the left side panel. Easy maintenance is guaranteed by the Twin Air filter and filter cage design that features a simple fail-proof mounting system for safe and accurate filter installation.

Wheels and tires

Black aluminum rims and CNC-machined hubs are fitted with Maxxis tires that deliver outstanding performance on a wide variety of terrain. The pattern design and rubber compound offer exceptional straight-line stability and excellent traction and predictability.

Brakes
A Formula four-piston brake caliper and 240 mm wave disc at the front and a two-piston caliper and 210 mm wave disc at the rear ensure powerful and confident braking.

The piston size on the rear caliper is reduced by 2 mm to 22 mm and, in combination with a new rear brake lever, delivers improved modulation and feeling.

Exhaust
The new exhaust system is perfectly tailored to the new engine’s power characteristics, contributing to the outstanding performance and all-round ride-ability.

The header pipe is made in a three-dimensional stamping process by WP Performance Systems. Once the components are shaped they are robot welded to ensure the highest level of quality and durability.

The new silencer is 50 mm shorter, improving mass centralization.

Engine

The new TC 85 engine uses the latest technology to deliver unrivalled performance in the ultra-competitive 85cc class. With an unchanged bore and stroke, the engine delivers improved performance and ride-ability across the full RPM range. Key to the engine is a new power valve, which allows the power delivery to be tailored simply and more effectively than before.

Cylinder and piston

The new cylinder has an unchanged bore and stroke (47/48.95 mm) with new ports to improve performance and response. Additionally, the new cylinder is designed around an all-new power valve system. The new system controls both the exhaust valve and the sub exhaust port for significantly improved power, torque and controllability. As a result, the TC 85 receives a significant increase in mid-range performance reducing the need to use the clutch in loamy or sandy conditions.

An adjuster screw allows the opening time of the power valve to be adjusted to suit rider preference and track conditions. By changing between different power valve springs - available in the Husqvarna Accessories catalogue - the rate at which the power valve opens can be further tailored.

Crankshaft

The all-new crankshaft is now lighter and features optimized balancing that reduces vibration. Even after removing weight, the rotational inertia of the crankshaft has increased by 0.5 kg, improving torque and ride-ability.

Crankcases

The crankcases are manufactured using a high-pressure die-cast production process that keeps wall thickness to a minimum while retaining strength and durability. The design of the new cases is more compact and aims at positioning the shaft arrangements as close as possible to the center of gravity for improved handling. As a result, the crankshaft has moved 31 mm upwards and 8.8 mm backwards.

Gearbox

The TC 85 features a new, lighter gearbox. While keeping the same motocross-specific ratios, the shifting action is improved allowing the rider to select the next gear with confidence. Additionally, similar to the footpeg design, a new self-cleaning gear selector prevents the build-up of dirt ensuring complete control in all conditions.

Clutch

Replacing the previous coil spring design, the TC 85 features a new diaphragm spring clutch. The new design is more compact and also benefits from added durability.

The clutch is actuated via a Formula hydraulic system meaning that play is always adjusted and the clutch point remains the same under different conditions and over time.

Engine
Featuring the latest in 2-stroke technology, the TC 65 is highly competitive in the 65cc class. Apart from using the lightest and most durable materials, the engine features a pressure controlled exhaust valve that delivers top-level performance. Additionally, the engine features a manual 6-speed transmission and hydraulic clutch allowing the rider to have full control of the power delivery.

Cylinder
The high-performance cylinder is made from lightweight and durable aluminum. Incorporating a pressure controlled exhaust valve (PCEV) the cylinder provides unrivalled performance within the highly competitive 65cc class.

Frame
The high-strength chromoly steel frame is produced by WP Performance Systems and integrates carefully calculated parameters of longitudinal flex and torsional rigidity to benefit handling and suspension functionality. It guarantees easy handling and precise cornering, along with outstanding stability. The subframe is fitted to the frame with four screws and is made of lightweight aluminum.

Bodywork
The bodywork of the TC 65 is modelled after the successful full-size motocross range. This means that when scaled down, the smaller riders experience the same contact points and ergonomic feeling instilling confidence and comfort in all riding conditions allowing riders to perform at their best for extended periods of time.

Swingarm
Made from lightweight cast aluminum, the hollow swingarm is designed using sophisticated simulation data and calculated to have the optimal rigidity while using minimal wall thickness. As a result, the swingarm features the ideal rigidity at the least possible weight.

Radiators
An intelligent cooling circuit with integrated crankcase cooling and two radiators ensures heat dissipation. The result is constant temperature balance for consistent high performance.

Front Suspension
Featuring the latest in suspension technology, the TC 65 is fitted with WP AER 35 forks. Besides being very lightweight, the 35 mm USD forks feature exceptional damping and comfort characteristics that allow riders to push the limit with complete confidence. With 215 mm of wheel travel, the air unit in the left fork leg can be adjusted easily with the use of an air pump for rider preference, weight or track conditions.

Rear Suspension
Linked directly to the swingarm, the WP monoshock is matched perfectly to the front forks for the perfect balance and damping characteristics. Additionally, the rear shock offers 270 mm of suspension travel and is fully adjustable allowing it to be tailored to rider preferences or track conditions.

Handlebars
Made of high quality aluminum alloy, the handlebars offer top stability and safety. Additionally, a specific handlebar bend is created to offer the best ergonomic position. A crash pad on the handlebar brace protects the rider from impacts.

Clutch
The reliable and light hydraulic clutch system guarantees even wear, near maintenance-free operation and perfect action in every condition. With the play being constantly adjusted, the pressure point and function of the clutch remain identical in cold or hot conditions, as well as over time.

Wheels
Mirroring the full-size motocross range, the TC 65 uses lightweight, black anodized, aluminum rims that provide the highest strength and reliability. The standard MAXXIS tires offer progressive grip on a variety of different terrains.

Brakes
Featuring the same level of technology offered on the full-size motocross range, the TC 65 is fitted with hydraulic brake calipers and large waved front (198 mm) and rear (160 mm) brake discs. The system ensures advanced brake feeling and stopping performance in all conditions.

Graphics
Modelled after the full-size motocross bikes, the TC 65 features striking and modern graphics in white, yellow and blue depicting the Swedish heritage of the Husqvarna brand. Additionally, the graphics are applied using an in-mold process to ensure optimum durability and quality.

Engine
The modern and compact engine features the latest in 2-stroke technology, offering class-leading performance and ride-ability. By using a 3-shaft design, the crankshaft is positioned near the center of gravity, which not only benefits mass centralization but also creates the ideal intake angle into the reed valve for top-level performance. Additionally, the engine is fitted with an automatic centrifugal clutch that reduces riding complexity for younger riders.

Exhaust
The exhaust is designed to specifically match the character of the TC 50 engine and is manufactured using a three-dimensional stamping process by WP Performance Systems. Once the components are shaped they are robot welded to ensure high levels of quality and durability.

Clutch
A key feature of the TC 50 is the automatic centrifugal clutch. This allows youngsters to ride without the complexity of operating a manual clutch and gearbox. The multi-disc clutch delivers a precise and predictable power delivery across the RPM range. Furthermore, it can easily be set to suit rider preferences or track conditions without the use of any special tools.

Power reduction kit
For absolute beginners the engine power can be reduced to a moderate 5.5 hp using a kit from Husqvarna Accessories.

For model year 2018 Husqvarna Motorcycles’ engineers focused their attentions on introducing further engine and chassis advances in all full-sized TC and FC models. A major upgrade is the Magura front and rear braking systems. Utilizing a similar layout to the previous design, the new brakes offer the best in terms of sensitivity and feeling.

All FC 4-stroke machines feature new compact Li-Ion 2.2 Ah battery with improved output consistency.

WP AER 48 front forks
The 48 mm split air forks feature a capsuled air spring and pressurized oil chamber for progressive and consistent damping. Damping can be easily adjusted via the single air pressure valve for pre-load on the left fork, with easy-access clickers adjusting damping with 30 clicks on the right fork. The air pump that’s needed to adjust air pressure in the fork is provided as standard.

CNC machined triple clamps
The 22 mm offset black-anodized CNC-machined triple clamps feature an integrated rubber damping system that reduces vibrations and increases rider comfort. A three-way handlebar adjustment is standard and allows for customizable ergonomics.

WP rear shock
The WP DCC rear shock is designed to provide advanced damping characteristics while conforming to a compact and lightweight design. With a pressure balance inside the shock, damping is improved resulting in greater rider comfort and handling. The outer contour of the reservoir additionally increases cooling. The component is also fully adjustable and matched to a linkage system with a specific geometry they deliver the best possible traction and progression with a rear wheel travel of 300 mm.

The Husqvarna Motorcycles frame features an innovative, self -cleaning footpeg mount which prevents the build-up of dirt collected through deep ruts or muddy terrain. As a result, the footpeg will spring back into its original position even in the toughest conditions. For riders who prefer a higher footpeg set-up, enduro footpegs can be fitted raising the position by 6 mm.

Magura hydraulic clutch

Brakes
New for MY 2018 is a Magura front and rear braking system. Featuring a similar layout to the previous design they offer improved sensitivity for a more progressive feel while retaining the highest level of performance. The systems are completed by 260 mm front and 220 mm rear discs made by GSK.

ProTaper handlebar

Grips and throttle assembly
The ODI lock-on grip on the left side does not require gluing, while on the right, the vulcanized grip features an innovative integrated throttle mechanism. The assembly has easy free-play adjustment and, by changing a cam, throttle progression can be altered.

Map switch, launch control
Optimized for easy operation, as well as changing between two different engine maps the map switch also activates launch control. This function limits the amount of power to the rear wheel, improving traction and preventing loss of control under hard acceleration.

Traction control
Traction control can be selected to an on or off position from the handlebar map switch and functions by analyzing throttle input from the rider and the rate at which RPM increase in the engine. If the RPM increase too quickly the EMS will register a loss of grip and reduce the amount of power to the rear wheel, for maximum traction. This can be a distinct advantage in wet or muddy conditions.

Engine management system (EMS)
The Keihin EMS is specifically designed to be smaller, lighter and faster at processing data. It integrates launch control for perfect starts, selectable engine maps via the switch on the handlebar as well as traction control. 44 mm throttle body
The 4-stroke motocross range features a 44 mm Keihin throttle body. The injector is positioned in a way that ensures the most efficient flow into the combustion chamber. In an effort to ensure optimal throttle response, the throttle cable is mounted directly without a throttle linkage. This provides more immediate throttle response and feeling.

Exhaust system
The exhaust system is expertly designed to deliver the best possible performance while adhering to the FIM noise limits. The header pipes feature resonance chambers that improve performance. On the 450 SOHC engine, the resonance chamber is integrated into the header pipe and resembles a 2-stroke expansion chamber. The silencers are crafted from lightweight and strong aluminum in an effort to reduce weight and benefit mass centralization. The result is sharper and more effective handling. The TC 125 and TC 250 exhaust systems are specifically designed to match the bikes’ engine characteristics while keeping weight to a minimum.

New Li-Ion battery
All 4-strokes come standard with electric starters. Along with the benefit of easy starting the system is combined with a new compact Li-Ion 2.2 Ah battery, which is 2.2 lbs (1 kg) lighter than a conventional battery. The wiring harness has been purposefully designed so that the rear subframe can be removed without having to take out any wiring.

Integrated cooling system and radiators
The radiators have been expertly crafted by WP Performance Systems using high strength aluminum. Channeling coolant through the frame also eliminates the need for additional hoses. The radiator protectors protect against flying debris but also act as a brace channeling any energy from an impact around the radiator and into the frame.

Husqvarna Motorcycles’ new cross country line-up consists of three premium TX and FX models that combine cutting-edge technology with Swedish-inspired design, offering class-leading performance across the range.

For model year 2018 Husqvarna Motorcycles’ engineers focused their attention on introducing further engine and chassis advances. A major upgrade to all full-sized 2018 TX and FX machines are the Magura front and rear braking systems. Utilizing a similar layout to the previous design, the new brakes now offer improved sensitivity for an even better feel. Additionally, all 4-strokes receive a new Li-Ion battery.

Based on a simple yet distinctive design, new graphics across the 2018 cross country range highlight Husqvarna’s Swedish heritage.

FEATURES AND BENEFITS - CHASSIS

Frame
The hydro-formed, laser-cut and robot-welded frame is expertly crafted by WP Performance Systems, specifically designed with calculated parameters of longitudinal and torsional flex. The frame is finished off with a premium white powder coating and standard frame protectors guaranteeing supreme protection and durability.

Composite carbon fiber subframe
The composite subframe is a design unique to Husqvarna, showcasing pioneering technologies and innovation. This three-piece component is made up of 30% carbon fiber making it remarkably light (3.1 lb / 1.4 kg) and also particularly strong. Specific care is taken to create a certain rigidity for optimal handling and rider ergonomics.

Swingarm

WP AER 48 front forks
The 48 mm split air forks feature a capsuled air spring and pressurized oil chamber for progressive and consistent damping. Damping can be easily adjusted via the single air pressure valve for pre-load on the left fork, with easy-access clickers adjusting damping with 30 clicks on the right fork. The air pump that’s needed to adjust air pressure in the fork is provided as standard.

CNC machined triple clamps
The 22 mm offset black-anodized CNC-machined triple clamps feature an integrated rubber damping system that reduces vibrations and increases rider comfort. The triple clamps are expertly crafted using superior techniques and materials to provide premium quality and reliability. A three-way handlebar adjustment is standard and allows for customizable ergonomics.

WP rear shock
The WP DCC rear shock is designed to provide advanced damping characteristics while conforming to a compact and lightweight design. With a pressure balance inside the shock, damping is improved resulting in greater rider comfort and handling. The outer contour of the reservoir additionally increases cooling. The component is also fully adjustable and matched to a linkage system with a specific geometry they deliver the best possible traction and progression with a rear wheel travel of 300 mm.

Footpeg mount
The Husqvarna Motorcycles frame features an innovative, self -cleaning footpeg mount which prevents the build-up of dirt collected through deep ruts or muddy terrain. As a result, the footpeg will spring back into its original position even in the toughest conditions. For riders who prefer a higher footpeg set-up, enduro footpegs can be fitted raising the position by 6 mm.

Magura hydraulic clutch
The reliable, high-quality, German-made clutch system guarantees even wear, near maintenance-free operation and perfect action in every condition. With the play being constantly adjusted, the pressure point and function of the clutch remain identical in cold or hot conditions and over time.

Brakes
New for MY 2018 is a Magura front and rear braking system. Featuring a similar layout to the previous design they offer improved sensitivity for a more progressive feel while retaining the highest level of performance. The systems are completed by 260 mm front and 220 mm rear discs made by GSK.

ProTaper handlebar
The ProTaper handlebar is second to none for function and style. Manufactured to specific standards, the ProTaper handlebar features class-leading fatigue resistance while adding minimal weight. The ProTaper logos are chemically applied and are scratch and peel resistant. The large Husqvarna Motorcycles bar pad has optimal impact resistance, while the standard handguards offer maximum roost protection.

Grips and throttle assembly
The ODI lock-on grip on the left side does not require gluing, while on the right, the vulcanized grip features an innovative integrated throttle mechanism. The assembly has easy free-play adjustment and, by changing a cam, throttle progression can be altered.

Map switch, launch control
Optimized for easy operation, as well as changing between two different engine maps the map switch also activates launch control. This function limits the amount of power to the rear wheel, improving traction and preventing loss of control under hard acceleration.

Traction control
Traction control can be selected to an on or off position from the handlebar map switch and functions by analyzing throttle input from the rider and the rate at which RPM increase in the engine. If the RPM increase too quickly the EMS will register a loss of grip and reduce the amount of power to the rear wheel, for maximum traction. This can be a distinct advantage in wet or muddy conditions.

Engine management system (EMS)
The Keihin EMS is specifically designed to be smaller, lighter and faster at processing data. It integrates launch control for perfect starts, selectable engine maps via the switch on the handlebar as well as traction control. Combined with the new gear sensor, power delivery is tailored for each gear.

44 mm throttle body
The 4-stroke cross country range features a 44 mm Keihin throttle body. The injector is positioned in a way that ensures the most efficient flow into the combustion chamber. In an effort to ensure optimal throttle response, the throttle cable is mounted directly without a throttle linkage. This provides more immediate throttle response and feeling.

Exhaust system
The exhaust system is expertly designed to deliver the best possible performance while adhering to competition noise limits. The header pipes feature resonance chambers that improve performance. On the 450 SOHC engine, the resonance chamber is integrated into the header pipe and resembles a 2-stroke expansion chamber. The silencers are crafted from lightweight and strong aluminum in an effort to reduce weight and benefit mass centralization. The result is sharper and more effective handling. The TX 300 exhaust system is specifically designed to match the bike’s engine characteristics while keeping weight to a minimum.

Li-Ion battery
All cross country models come standard with electric starters. Along with the benefit of easy starting the system is combined with a compact Li-Ion 2.2 Ah battery, which is 2.2 lbs (1 kg) lighter than a conventional battery. The wiring harness has been purposefully designed so that the rear subframe can be removed without having to take out any wiring.

Integrated cooling system and radiators
The radiators have been expertly crafted by WP Performance Systems using high strength aluminum. CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) technology has been utilized to channel air through the radiators effectively and provide optimal cooling in any condition. Channeling coolant through the frame also eliminates the need for additional hoses. The radiator protectors protect against flying debris but also act as a brace channeling any energy from an impact around the radiator and into the frame.

Airbox and tool-less air filter access
The airbox is designed with precisely positioned inlet ducts to prevent air deformation, ensuring maximum airflow and filter protection. The air filter is easily accessed, without tools, by removing the left side panel. Easy maintenance is guaranteed with the Twin Air filter and filter cage design that features a simple fail proof mounting system for safe and accurate filter installation.

Wheels
Black high-strength alloy rims are coupled with CNC-machined hubs using lightweight spokes and silver anodized aluminum nipples.

Engine
The SOHC engine is the perfect example of the advanced engineering techniques used by Husqvarna Motorcycles. It offers a peak power of 63 hp at an overall weight of just 61.3 lbs (27.8 kg). Mass-centralization is key in the engine design, enabling chassis engineers to position the engine closer to the center of gravity for greatly improved handling and maneuverability.

Cylinder head
The compact SOHC cylinder head has been designed to offer the maximum performance at the minimum possible weight. The camshaft actuates four lightweight titanium valves that weigh only 32 g on the intake side and 28 g on the exhaust. The diameter of the intake valves is 40 mm, while on the exhaust it is 33 mm. Low-friction DLC coating on the rocker arm and low-friction chain guides offer optimum efficiency and reliability.

Cylinder and piston
The lightweight aluminum cylinder is an engineering masterpiece. Featuring a 95 mm bore and a CP bridge-box-type piston that weighs only 320 g. The compression ratio is 12.6:1 for an amazing peak output of 63 hp.

Crankshaft
The inertia produced by the crankshaft is carefully calculated to deliver optimal traction and ride-ability from the powerful 450cc plant. The crankshaft is specifically positioned to harness the rotating mass in the ideal center of gravity, resulting in a lightweight and agile handling feel. A plain big end bearing comprising of two force-fitted bearing shells ensure maximum reliability and durability, guaranteeing long service intervals of 100 hours.

Crankcases
The crankcases are designed to house the shaft arrangements and internals of the engine in the position that offers the best possible handling. Additionally, the position of the clutch shaft keeps the clutch above the oil level resulting in decreased friction and increased efficiency.

High-pressure die-cast production processes keep the overall weight to a minimum, resulting in thin wall thickness while retaining reliability. The historic Husqvarna logo adorns the bronze finished crankcase covers.

Gearbox
The lightweight 5-speed gearbox has a low-friction coating on the shifting fork guaranteeing smooth and precise shifting. DDS clutch

The clutch basket is a single-piece CNC-machined steel component that allows the use of thin steel liners and contributes to the compact design of the engine.

Engine
The 293 cc 2-stroke engine has long offered the best combination of unsurpassed power and lightweight construction. The simplicity and low maintenance costs of the 2-stroke motor has made it a favorite amongst motocross riders for generations. The TX 300 engine features the latest 2-stroke technology aimed at centralizing rotating masses and reducing vibration while delivering the highest level of performance in its class.

Cylinder
The 72 mm bore cylinder features an innovative power valve system that delivers a smooth and controlled power throughout the RPM range. This can be further customized by simply changing two springs supplied, altering the power delivery for different track conditions and rider preference.

Engine casings
The TX 300 engine is designed with mass centralization as a key theme. As a result the lightweight, die-cast engine casings are developed to house the shaft arrangements in the perfect position, centralizing oscillating mass and improving ride-ability.

Counter balancer shaft

Gearbox

Clutch
The TX 300 features a DDS (Damped Diaphragm Steel) clutch.
