2018 Gas Gas EC and XC Models | First Look

The Spanish bike brand is making some moves for 2018

EICMA is the world’s largest motorcycle show and it is filled to the brim with prototypes, one-offs, and glimpses of the future. Here we have two new models from the Spaniards; 2018 Gas Gas EC 250 and XC 300. We talked with Gas Gas USA’s Scot Harden who says the enduro and trials company will have a bigger presence in the US for 2018 and he is excited about the new models. He was pretty tight-lipped about details (our guess is that there just isn’t that many details right now period).

But we did just chat with EX star and trials champ Geoff Aaron about the new Gas Gas bikes since he is the company’s brand ambassador and media guy. From the little information he received, it sounds like there will be two model lines for 2018, an EC and XC, and both bikes will have KYB suspension. The EC line should be more trail/enduro oriented while the XC line will have a racier, leaned out build. As you can see from the photos the main difference is the EC having a super trick headlight set flush with the number plate and the XC not having lights at all.
