100% Airmatic Glove Review

Typically known for its goggles, 100% has launched a quite intensive line of off-road gloves ranging from ultra lightweight to heavily armored. The Airmatic falls closer to the latter, as it has multiple stretch materials, raised rubber knuckle bumpers, a Velcro closure, and dual-layered palm.

Fit is critical on a glove. I am usually a size large (occasionally an XL, so a larger large) and these larges were just a hair on the tight side, but for a true large I think these would fit fine. There is a stretchy material between the index finger and thumb that relieved tightness when I grabbed the grips. The main material on the top is thicker but still stretches enough to not need knuckle reliefs. The end of each finger had seams that were uncomfortable at the truck but not while riding. Overall, the fit and dexterity are great, albeit a little small for me.

I prefer single-layered palms because more material typically means more bunching. Yet the Airmatics have the second layer of material cut in such a way that I didn’t notice any uncomfortable bulk between the grips and my hands. On the blister front, these haven’t been any more or less apt to cause them than other gloves. The only negatives I noticed were the Velcro closure tab is small and hard to grab with your other gloved hand, and the palms are getting discolored from the grips. The durability is not bad with only a few tiny frayed stitches and no rips or tears.
