Hi everyone, It's Preston Campbell here! If you are like me, you love to ride your dirt bike. Trail riding and racing are a lot of fun. But, there are many responsibilities that go along with it. There are so many things to remember and sometimes we forget some of those things. To help me remember I have made a checklist. I use this check list when I'm packing for a weekend in the desert or a weekend at the races. I have it broken into 5-parts so I don't forget any important items that I may need at the track. The 5-categories are gear, tools, food, oils and chemicals and spare parts. I hope you find this checklist handy.

Gear:

  • Helmet

  • Goggles with extra lenses

  • Neck brace

  • Chest protector

  • Jersey

  • Under armor

  • Knee braces or cups

  • Socks

  • Pants

  • Gloves

  • Boots

  • Riding jacket (optional)

  • Drink system (optional)

  • Fanny pack (optional)

Tools:

  • Small tool box

  • Duct tape

  • Electrical tape

  • Safety wire

  • Small tape measure

  • T- Handles 8,10,12,14,17,19mm

  • Wrenches 8,10,12,14,17,19,22,24,30,32mm

  • Sockets and Ratchet 6,8,10,12,14,17,19,22,24,30,32mm

  • Screw drivers flat and Phillips, big and small

  • Allen wrenches 3,4,5,6,8,10

  • Pliers (side cutters, needle nose, locking groove, vise grips)

  • Tire levers (2-4)

  • Hammer soft and hard

  • Tire gauge

  • Tire pump

Food & Drink:

  • Energy bars

  • Granola bars

  • Fruit

  • Water (lots)

  • Sports drink

  • Peanut butter & honey sandwiches

  • Jerky

  • Chips

Oils & Chemicals:

  • Chain lube

  • Contact cleaner

  • Pam ( for under fenders)

  • Tranny oil

  • Motor oil

  • Coolant

  • Grease

  • Silicone spray

  • Spray polish & cleaner

  • Rust penetrant

  • Brake fluid

  • 2- Stroke oil (if applicable)

  • GAS!

  • Handlebars

  • Grips

  • Brake lever

  • Clutch lever

  • Chain and extra link

  • Brake petal

  • Shifter

  • Tubes

  • Spark plug

  • Bike stand

  • Throttle tube
