Following the introduction of its first 450cc motocross bike (the TF 450-RC Edition) last year, Triumph has unveiled a standard version of it called the TF 450-X. Compared to the Ricky Carmichael–inspired 450cc motocrosser of 2025, the new-for-2026 standard 450cc MX model from the British manufacturer boasts technical updates similar to those seen on the 2026 TF 250-X.
Triumph gave the TF 450-X a new Exedy clutch hub and new Belleville clutch spring to enhance durability and refine clutch action for extreme racing conditions, and there’s also a new gearbox selector star that’s said to improve gear selection. We also find new engine mounts designed to refine chassis performance and fresh graphics that mirror those found on the TF 250-X of the same model year.
“Our motocross program has already delivered podium finishes in both AMA Supercross and MXGP, and the response to our TF 250-X and TF 450-RC Edition has been outstanding,” Triumph Motorcycles Chief Commercial Officer Paul Stroud said. “The new TF 450-X builds on that momentum, offering the same race-developed performance in a standard production model. Developed and tested to deliver performance, control, and reliability for riders of all capabilities, this model is engineered to be accessible for weekend riders while helping competitive racers perform at the highest level.”
The 2026 Triumph TF 450-X will be available in North American dealers later this year. Its suggested retail price has yet to be announced.
