Ride Engineering Oversize (1 1/8-Inch) One-Piece Bar Mount - Dirt Rider Magazine

I hate realigning bent, twisted and misaligned front ends. I rarely bend handlebars, but I do have some jacked-up geometry going on after tip-overs. Usually, the rubber-mounted bar clamps get tweaked, and I've even bent the bar-mount stem pretty badly while the handlebar somehow stays straight. One of the best products I've found to keep me pointing in the right direction is the Ride Engineering One-Piece Bar Mount I tested on the 2009 CRF250R.This $99.95 unit is all aluminum (except for the stainless mount bolts) but it feels much more stout. In its fourth generation, the mount has been refined to weigh as little as possible but stay strong. The final product is a bit heavier than stock. It installs easily with the stock Honda rubber cones and hardware. The top clamp is one piece held on with eight 8mm bolts. When placed over a ProTaper EVO bar, the machined guidance holes in the clamp lined up perfectly, making it easy for me to set my bar at the right angle.Once tightened up, I forgot about this clamp. I do, however, recommend consciously avoiding overtightening the 8mm clamp bolts. The rubber-mounted feeling in the bar was as good as stock, and the one-piece design did well fending off everything from high-speed tumbles to the much-more-common-for-Jesse stationary fall in the shop off the stand and onto the cement. So, if you're like me and your bike hits the ground (with or without you on it), this mount is money well spent.
