Jett America Zero-7 IDX1 Chest Protector - Dirt Rider Magazine

While Jett America is not creating entirely new products, it is working diligently trying to improve existing products. The company may not have been the first to offer a neck brace, however it does have one of the first dedicated accompanying chest protectors. The high-end model with a carbon fiber back insert is called the Zero-7 IDX1 Protector, and it sells for $129.95. The base Zero-7 IDX2 Protector skips the carbon insert, but at $99.95 it saves 30 bucks. It is the most comfortable full protector with floating shoulders I have tried with a brace. With Jett's Omega neck brace, you drop the Zero-7 over your head, lift the front panel and push it back against your throat, then pull it forward. That nestles the back panel under the rear table of the brace. I only tried the protector with the Omega and the Leatt neck braces, but it seems like it would be quite compatible with other brands as well. The coverage is good, comfort is in line with any full protector and it fits comfortably with a brace, so if you wear a brace you should check this unit out. -Karel Kramer
