How Much Power Does the 2026 GasGas MC 250F Make?

Dyno testing GasGas’ MY26 250cc four-stroke motocross bike for horsepower and torque.

GasGas implemented some changes to make its MC 250F quieter for 2026 with airbox, air filter, and EFI setting tweaks as well as spec’ing a longer and more restrictive muffler. The red 250cc four-stroke motocross bike from Austria is indeed easier on the ears in 2026, and continues to crank out impressive peak figures of 40.3 hp and 19.5 lb.-ft. of torque on our in-house rear-wheel dyno. Muting the MC 250F’s decibel output did the same thing to its power delivery, making an already smooth package of years past a bit mellow.

“GasGas’ MC 250F is quietest in class and very basic without an engine map, traction control, launch control, or quick-shift module,” test rider Michael Wicker said. “A very soft-hitting power delivery makes it more controllable than KTM’s 250 SX-F and Husqvarna’s FC 250, but the MC 250F would benefit from being more aggressive, especially for racing.”
