Kawasaki's Supercross Riders to Visit Kelly's Kawasaki in Mesa, ArizonaThe THQ Supercross series will return to Phoenix on January 15, 2005. On the evening of Friday 14 at 7 pm, just hours before the Supercross event takes off at Bank One Ball Park in Downtown Phoenix, Kawasaki's riders will be at Kelly's Kawasaki on Country Club Drive in Mesa to meet with fans and hold an autopraph session. Scheduled to attend are James Stewart, Michael Byrne, Stephane Roncada, Ivan Tedesco, Paul Carpenter, Grant Langston, and Matt Walker.
James Stewart awed racing fans and overwhelmed the competition in 2004 by winning 18 of the 20 125 Eastern Region Supercross and 125 Motocross races. He also set a new record for the most career 125 AMA professional wins, with 47. Paul Carpenter is a four-time AMA Four-Stroke National Champion, sweeping both the East and West divisions during the 2002-03 season. In 1997, he won a national amateur championship while riding for Kawasaki Team Green and turned pro the following year. Michael Byrne is a three-time Australian champion and entered in 2004 his sixth season of racing in the U.S., and his second full season riding in the 250 class. Byrne is a five-time member of Australia's Motocross des Nations team and played an integral role in his country's 2002 World Cup Championship.
