2026 Triumph TF 450-E Technical Overview

Features and specifications of Triumph’s first 450cc enduro bike.

Triumph has expanded its off-road motorcycle line with two new enduro models for 2026: the TF 250-E and TF 450-E. Both are designed specifically for enduro competition and not just accessorized versions of their motocross-focused counterparts of the same displacements. While the TF 250-E and TF 450-E look very similar to the TF 250-X and TF 450-RC Edition, their chassis features a unique aluminum frame, swingarm, and fork length compared to the motocross bikes.

The TF 450-E’s engine package also differs from that of the TF 450-RC Edition’s, featuring enduro-optimized cam profiles with different lift, duration, and timing. Cylinder head features comprehensive in-house machining for accuracy. Intake and exhaust ports are optimized for maximum flow and performance. An enduro-specific crankshaft is rebalanced, heavier, and offers increased inertia for a smoother and more controlled power delivery.

The TF 450-E is not just a motocross bike with an 18-inch rear wheel. Its engine settings are entirely different including a heavier crankshaft, different camshafts, and unique exhaust system.Triumph Motorcycles/Simon Cudby

Triumph didn’t stop there. It revised the transmission and added a sixth gear that acts as an overdrive for fire roads and transferring from one trail to another, and revised gears first to fifth to have enduro-specific ratios. Gear teeth are micro-shot-peened for enhanced durability and lower friction. Electronics feature a quickshifter option for clutchless upshifts between second and sixth gears.

Along with dedicated engine settings, Triumph replaced the motocross-oriented five-speed transmission with a new six-speed version for enduro.Triumph Motorcycles/Simon Cudby
The TF 450-E comes with 13/51 gearing, which is three teeth larger on the rear compared to the TF 450-RC Edition. Chain is O-ring sealed and also longer, with 116 links to help maintain a proper wheelbase.Triumph Motorcycles/Simon Cudby
The TF 450-E features a complete list of electronics. At the push of a button there is launch control (LC), quick shift (QS) from second to sixth gear, traction control (TC), and dual engine maps (M). It also comes standard with a horn, but even though there’s a turn signal switch, the wiring harness is not prewired for them.Allan Brown
The TF 450-E swingarm is 10mm longer than the TF 450-RC Edition’s. Triumph achieved this with longer axle blocks at the rear of the swingarm, while the hydroformed main beams are the same length. As you can see in this photo, there’s plenty of room should you want to extend the wheelbase by moving to a 118-link chain.Triumph Motorcycles/Simon Cudby
The TF 450-E has a dedicated exhaust system that features a United States Forest Service (USFS) approved spark arrestor–equipped muffler.Triumph Motorcycles/Simon Cudby
At the front, Triumph uses a KYB Air-Oil Separate (AOS) 48mm closed-cartridge coil-spring fork that’s 10mm shorter than the TF 450-RC Edition’s. Inside the enduro model’s front suspension are 4.4 Nm springs. The fork is paired with Neken 7075-T6 forged and fully machined lightweight aluminum triple clamps.Triumph Motorcycles/Simon Cudby
A KYB shock with 58 Nm spring has enduro-specific valving. While the swingarm is 10mm longer, linkage remains the same as that of the TF 450-RC Edition’s.Triumph Motorcycles/Simon Cudby
Compared to the TF 450-RC Edition, the TF 450-E has a larger, transparent 2.1-gallon fuel tank. An IP67 sealed radiator fan, which is made of PA66 GF30 heat-resistant polymer and is resistant to dust and water, is also standard equipment on the headlight-equipped model.Triumph Motorcycles/Simon Cudby
Triumph uses high-quality Brembo brakes featuring Galfer 260mm front and 220mm rear solid wave rotors.Triumph Motorcycles/Simon Cudby
A ProTaper Evo handlebar, which offers some of the best flex characteristics on the market, comes standard on the TF 450-E. The stealth-looking black-on-black bar pad is a nice touch.Triumph Motorcycles/Simon Cudby
A compact yet informative backlit LCD dashboard displays speed, distance, trip, time, neutral, low fuel, and a malfunction indicator lamp (MIL).Allan Brown
A 1450 lumen LED headlight is standard, with low- and high-beam options. Triumph claims this is bright enough for serious nighttime off-road riding. There’s also an LED rear taillight and brake light. OEM hand guards are always appreciated.Triumph Motorcycles/Simon Cudby
