2025 Beta 125 RR X-Pro Technical Overview

Features and specifications of Beta’s standard-model 125cc two-stroke enduro bike in 2025.

Just south of Florence, Italy, directly off of Via Pian dell’Isola, lies Betamotor. All Beta motorcycles are built there. In the case of the RR enduro models, they’ve been around since 2005, and it’s bikes like the 125 RR X-Pro that keep Beta extremely relevant in the off-road sphere. X-Pro is a name update from the previously simplified RR line, while the RR Race models remain Beta’s most aggressive off-road offerings. The RR X-Pro models are geared more toward single-track off-road use and are an ideal fit for a majority of entry-level riders. Read on to learn about the 2025 Beta 125 RR X-Pro, which is competitively priced at $8599.

New for 2025 is the Beta 125 RR X-Pro. An update over last year’s RR models, the X-Pro lineup includes a variety of displacements in both two-stroke and four-stroke. A new frame and front suspension, updated rear suspension, and lower seat height are a few of the most significant updates for MY25.Jeff Allen
The 125cc two-stroke engine has a bore and stroke of 54.0 x 54.5mm. Black accents on the cylinder head, ignition cover, and clutch cover truly stand out. Peak figures at the 125 RR X-Pro’s rear wheel are 31.4 hp and 15.2 lb.-ft. of torque, as measured by the Dirt Rider dyno.Jeff Allen
This two-stroke machine is as simple as it gets: Carburetors and kickstarters are alive and well!Jeff Allen
A Moto Tassinari VForce reed valve assembly and Keihin PWK 36mm carburetor provide clean and responsive throttle connectivity…Jeff Allen
While a plated pipe keeps maintenance to a minimum, fits well, and is tucked up neatly out of harm’s way.Jeff Allen
Long silencers keep sound levels in check and the two-bolt design is quite durable. With a brushed aluminum appearance and welded end-cap, Beta does customers right with a quality OE exhaust.Jeff Allen
Twin Air supplies the air filter. Beta design requires no tools for side panel, air filter, and seat removal, making routine tasks like filter servicing all the easier.Jeff Allen
A high-pressure 1.8-bar radiator cap is found on the left radiator, unlike many competitors which have the filler spout on the right.Jeff Allen
The 125 RR X-Pro map switch is located in the handlebar pad: Sun mode is noticeably more aggressive than Rain mode. Best suited for new riders and low-traction scenarios, Rain mode tames some of the assertive 125cc two-stroke character that lies within the RR X-Pro.Jeff Allen

A ZF Sachs Separate Hydraulic Chamber (SHC) 48mm coil-spring front suspension design utilizes a single spring in one leg (non-brake side), with damping control in the other (brake side). Externally adjustable fork preload is a tunable feature.Jeff Allen
For the rear suspension, a red aluminum-bodied ZF Sachs shock features adjustable low- and high-speed compression damping for the upper adjusters.Jeff Allen
The red high-speed compression damping knob can be tailored by clicks, or noting complete turns, which simplifies the tuning process for new users. Low-speed compression damping is noted in clicks and is the inset gold screw.Jeff Allen
The rebound damping adjuster is found on the shock clevis. “S” designates softer, “H” for harder. Counterclockwise (S) adjustments free up/soften rebound control, while clockwise (H) adjustments slow the rebound action, often providing a firmer feel.Jeff Allen
A 4.8-kilogram (47 Nm) shock spring comes standard, ideal for riders with a weight between 140–159 pounds.Jeff Allen
Upper triple clamp torque is 17 Nm. From this angle, one can also spot the new-for-2025 Xtrig FlexFix elastomeric bar mounts.Jeff Allen
Lower triple clamp bolt torque is 12 Nm. These engraved figures are there for a reason (from a performance perspective), but also expedite the reassembly process for users everywhere (on the maintenance side).jeff a
An 18-inch FIM-approved Maxxis MaxxEnduro tire and black highlights on the swingarm really stand out in the rear. FIM-spec tires generally have shorter knob heights compared to common US-spec rubber.Jeff Allen
Beta aluminum rear sprocket (built by ZF) and a D.I.D chain ensure many smooth miles. Typically 125cc two-strokes place less stress on driveline components, so expect longer service intervals. #SmallBorePerksJeff Allen
A Nissin single-piston rear brake caliper, Galfer 240mm solid rotor, and steel-braided brake line keep stopping power high. The rear axle location was quite forward during our time with the machine, and if increasing rear sprocket size, be sure to go longer on chain links!Jeff Allen
Nissin front brake caliper, required odometer attachment, Galfer 260mm solid rotor, and the most unique fork guard design in modern times.Jeff Allen
Yellow lettering on the Maxxis MaxxEnduro front tire contrasts nicely with the black rim, silver nipples, and black spokes found on the 125 RR X-Pro.Jeff Allen
Beta push-button seat removal has been a staple for many years now, and we dig it.Jeff Allen
A front rescue strap is new for 2025. Luckily, the 125 RR X-Pro is Beta’s lightest full-size two-stroke offering at 229 pounds wet on our automotive scales. Hard enduro rides that require yanking and pulling made all the easier.Jeff Allen
Headlight comes standard, so there’s no reason to worry on those rides that go a little long.Jeff Allen
A durable skid plate is a must in the off-road world, and the steel frame rails of the 125 RR X-Pro come well protected.Jeff Allen
Cast steel footpegs may not look as pretty as titanium or aluminum options, but they are grippy and durable—essentials for maintaining proper riding form.Jeff Allen
Beta’s dual-compound grips are rather thick in circumference, but keep vibration to a minimum and rarely lead to blistering.Jeff Allen
Dashboard equipped and ready to track time of day and speed, and total miles with the odometer. Yes, US owners can switch from kilometers per hour to miles per hour in settings.Jeff Allen
New radiator shroud design, RR X-Pro logos, and a translucent 2.5-gallon fuel tank. The 125 RR X-Pro requires premix fuel, whereas the other two-stoke RR X-Pro models feature electronic oil injection.Jeff Allen
Happily, 125cc two-stroke machines are alive and well. Thank you, Beta!Jeff Allen
Depending on intended usage, simply installing your favorite hand guards and brake disc protection ensures hours of headache-free riding. Built to tackle anything one can throw at it, Beta’s 125 RR X-Pro is serious fun.Jeff Allen
