Chino, CA (April 24, 2016) – It was a tough outing in New England for Blake Baggett and Yoshimura Suzuki Factory Racing. Baggett, who just missed qualifying for the Main in Gillette Stadium by one spot in his Heat race, then got caught up in unavoidable crashes in both the Semi and Last Chance Qualifier, which cost him any shot at making the Foxborough final.

It was the second straight day race for the series in Foxborough, Massachusetts, and Baggett started out the day well by qualifying his Yoshimura Suzuki RM-Z450 in seventh place with a time of 1:02.906.

From there Baggett ran a solid pace in the second qualifying Heat race of the day, but came home fifth, just one position out from qualifying straight into the Main.

In his Semi Baggett was en route to qualifying for the Main Event when a rider crashed in front of him in a whoop section, with the bike cartwheeling sideways in front of Baggett leaving him nowhere to go. He collided with the bike and crashed. He quickly was back underway, but in the short race he was only able to come back to sixth, putting him into the LCQ.

Right off the gate in the LCQ Baggett was in the middle of the pack when he was caught up in a multi-rider crash going into the first turn. Baggett’s bike was damaged in the crash and his day was done. The team now moves on to New Jersey and MetLife Stadium in next week’s penultimate round of the series.

This coming week fans will get the opportunity to meet Baggett and James Stewart at an autograph signing at The Motorcycle Mall, 655 Washington Ave., Belleville, NJ from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Friday, April 29.
