Thor Spectra Black Jacket

Although considered to be "sportswear" by Thor, the Spectra Jacket can be used for a variety of wet-weather activities and works well both on and off the bike. Breathable yet water resistant and featuring a durable mesh liner, the Spectra keeps the elements out via secure cuffs and cinch straps around the bottom and hood. I've got to hand it to Thor; the durability of this jacket is outstanding, and after withstanding mild encounters with brush and roost it still cleans up well enough after a ride to be worn around town later. Although thin and not incredibly warm, the slightly large-sized Spectra is excellent for layering and doesn't get soaked through in moderate rain. It would be nice if the hood were removable, as this tends to fill up like a parachute when cruising on a motorcycle or bombing downhill on a mountain bike. Additionally, the style isn't for everyone, but in terms of function the Spectra Black Jacket is a great addition to any closet or gear bag. —Chris Denison
