HRP XT Knee/Shin Guards

Getting older, I realize more than ever that pain is not my friend. Having proper protection from rocks, roost and the occasional fall is important, as is comfort (if it's not comfortable, you won't wear it). HRP's new XT Knee/Shin guard offers both of these desirable traits.The thick impact absorbing foam wraps around your knee for maximum comfort and protection, and the large plastic knee cup makes a great barrier from both roost and impacts from falls. Wide neoprene straps with hook and loop closure allow the guard to be adjusted to fit the rider (the extra length can be cut off once you get the fit right). The liner is removable, and washable. A vented gripper lower shin plate keeps the knee guard from moving around in your boots.

Even with the large knee cup and padding, they never interfered with my ability to grip the bike with my lower legs and knees; and were comfortable for a full day of riding. Another feature I like (being short) is the shin guard area does not interfere with me being able to close the top strap on my boots.These are the only knee guards I have worn all year and they are still holding up well. The only downside to the ample padding is if your riding pants are snug around the knee area, you may find the fit too tight with the XT guard.
