For years I've read about riders pulling the insoles from their running shoes and putting them in their riding boots. These Shock Doctor insoles are the first I've tried specifically for dirt riding. The insoles have multiple layers and portions are different materials. All of this innovation claims to be "designed specifically to meet the unique demands of motocross and off-road motorcycling." I don't know about that, but I do know the Moto Insoles made my Alpinestars Tech 7s a nice place for my feet to be. The insoles wrap up around the heel and hold it in place better, and they took some of the punishment away from my arch. I know, because I could only wear one insole and had a great side-by-side comparison going. The Moto Insoles take up a little room in your boot, and a messed-up toe on my right foot forced me to try only the left insole. I could clearly feel a difference in shock absorption. The foot with the insole felt much better. So much better that I'm determined to cut up the right one to make it work with my oddball toe.The insoles don't work with boots that have booties, so they're somewhat limited. These $39.99 insoles seem to be lasting fine, and they can even be hand washed in cool water with mild detergent. Be nice to your feet.-Karel Kramer
