KTM PowerParts 3.5-Gallon/13-Liter Tank - Dirt Rider Magazine

Although the KTM XC and XC-W tanks are large, sometimes you just need more fuel; say to get a lot closer to the 70-mile range. KTM totally has you covered with options that range from only slightly larger than stock (11.5 liters) all the way to 21.5 liters. We chose the 13-liter (roughly 3.5-gallon) tank and bolted it to our 200 XC-W. It goes on in minutes, coming complete with petcock, fuel line, rubber mounts and bolts. It uses the stock cap.The retail on this tank is $349.99. Which is a little high until you remember you get all the little parts that make swapping a painless affair. There is no switching petcocks or spilling gas. While riding the bike you can tell the tank is wider by the bulge between your legs. It isn't bad, and it is a smooth transition all the way through. But some riders commented that the cutout on the tank for radiator venting hit their knees at just the wrong spot. Nevertheless, the tank easily stretched the bike's mileage, truthfully almost doubling it. And the wings of the tank have acted like a radiator protector on a few fall-overs. This tank works on all late-model KTM two- and four-strokes and uses the stock seat. So if you're looking for the simple way to turn your KTM into a long-ranger, this is the best we've found. -Jimmy Lewis
