Second for the weekend went to Russell Bobbitt, who was fresh off a win at the Cherokee National Enduro in Greensboro, Georgia.
Bobbitt won a test on Saturday, and followed that up with a test win on Sunday. The FMF/KTM rider was sitting third heading into Sunday’s event, but came out on top of a three-way battle with Jordan Ashburn and Layne Michael to claim the runner-up position.
“Ashburn got me by two seconds at the end of Saturday’s event, so I knew I had to pick it up on Sunday,” said Bobbitt. “The conditions were slippery on Sunday and I just tried to ride smooth and stay off the ground and I think that was the key because Layne hit the ground once that I know of.“
