How Much Power Does The 2020 Husqvarna FE 501s Make?

Horsepower and torque figures on Husqvarna’s flagship dual sport bike.

The Husqvarna FE 501s was named Cycle World’s Best Enduro/Dual Sport in 2015. Five years later, Husqvarna’s flagship dual sport bike features a bevy of updates, some of which were focused on the engine—namely a shorter and lighter cylinder head, a new camshaft, an increased compression ratio, and a new exhaust system.

Ahead of an upcoming dual sport comparison, we ran Husqvarna’s highest-displacement street-legal dirt bike on our in-house dyno to see how much horsepower and torque it produces. We documented 40.3 hp at 8,100 rpm and 28.2 pound-feet of torque at 5,700 rpm.
