Ricky Brabec, still fresh off of his DAKAR effort, came out swinging for a Round 1 win of the 2017 AMA National Hare and Hound, held at Johnson Valley OHV in Lucerne Valley, CA. Following a mid pack start Ricky was able to battle his way into the lead. With chocolate-cake-like dirt and no dust the race was a flat out bar banger to the end. With a tight pack at the front Ricky held his lead and his JCR/Honda CRF450X wide open to the finish and proved once again why he wears the #1 plate.

"The race conditions were excellent and everyone was on their A game. The 2017 NHHA field is deep with talent but Ricky Brabec was not going to be denied as he commanded much of the race. The whole team did a great job, Ricky's determination and our speedy pit crew proved to be key to today's success." -- Johnny Campbell
