GRAND PRIX NEWS & Calendar

The calendar for the 2004 World Motocross championships has been introduced and it's looking likely to be a great year in Europe and other parts of the World. The 16 round Grand Prix circuit will head to South Africa for the final GP of the year, and return to some of the most historical circuits in Europe, including the deep dark sand of Lommel in Belgium, and the beautifully prepared St Jean d'Angly circuit in France. Youthstream the organization which will run the Grand Prix series next year have come up with some really interesting circuits for the 04 series. New to the series will be Sun City in South Africa, Isle of Wight in England, and BallyKelly in Ireland, while Agueda in Portugal, Spa in Belgium, Lommel in Belgium and St Jean d-Angely in France, all return to the GP scene, all four circuits are rich in Motocross history, and will add something special to the World championship calendar. Off the calendar is Valkenswaard in Holland, and Namur in Belgium. The Dutch sand track has been a longtime backer of the Grand Prix, although due to the circuit not making changes over the last few years not too many people are disappointed with it's exclusion. Lichtenvoorde in the middle of Holland is a very interesting sand circuit. Unfortunately Namur has missed out after more problems with circuit safety. 2004 Grand Prix Calendar21 March: Zolder (Belgium), GP Flanders
