Seven-time AMA Supercross Champion Jeremy McGrath is trying his hand at yet another sport. This June he plans to race Baja 500, but not as a member of Team Honda, nor on a motorcycle. He will be driving a truck for Robby Gordon Racing at speeds up to 140mph down the Mexican peninsula. Gordon, a former Champ car driver turned NASCAR racer, actually began his racing career in motocross and was even fast enough in the '80s to race in the now-defunct Kawasaki Race of Champions held at the NMA World Mini Grand Prix. Gordon and McGrath have been friends for a long time, and Gordon actually extended the offer almost a year ago.
