A look at round 3 of the AMSOIL Grand National Cross Country Series in Georgia

Kailub Russell continued his hot streak in the Grand National Cross Country Series by taking his third win in as many races at the Maxxis General GNCC in Washington, Georgia. Here, photographer Darrin Chapman provides a look back at this past weekend's race, where FMF KTM Factory Racing's Russell came from behind to beat Rockstar Energy Husqvarna Factory Racing's Thad Duvall for the overall win.

Trevor Bollinger is riding a Honda CRF450R for Johnny Campbell Racing (JCR) in the XC1 class. Bollinger has been super consistent so far, posting three straight fourth-place finishes. The West Virginia native has also proven he has the speed to run with the top dogs by leading two of the three races.Darrin Chapman
GasGas North America is backing its first official GNCC team in 2018 behind the efforts of Andrew Delong in the XC1 class, Nick Davis in XC2 250 Pro, and Korie Steede in the XCW. Steede’s XC250 is pictured.Darrin Chapman
FMF KTM’s Josh Toth led the XC2 350 Pro division on the first lap, but the Connecticut rider suffered an injury when he hooked his hand on a vine and was forced into the pits. Toth was able to finish the race but only able managed a 23rd-place finish.Darrin Chapman
Bollinger ran second for the first two laps behind Ricky Russell, but a tip-over on the third lap dropped Bollinger to fourth.Darrin Chapman
AmPro Yamaha’s Russell grabbed the lead after the start of the three-hour race and led it for the first three laps. Just after the halfway mark, he ran into a stick that punctured his radiator, forcing the Washington state native to retire after his engine overheated.Darrin Chapman
Ben Kelley grabbed his second win in a row in the XC2 250 Pro class with a sixth-place-overall finish. The Trail Jesters KTM rider holds the point lead in the XC2 class after three rounds.Darrin Chapman

Duvall led the race on the final lap, but Russell made a pass for the lead with 4 miles to go in the race to claim the win as Duvall settled for second.Darrin Chapman
