In the first practice Josh was throwing some crazy whips on his cool down laps for the fans and the photographers. Josh turned a 2:26.981 to qualify 5th overall in the stacked 450 class.Photography by Rob Koy
Between the first and second practice Josh signed autographs for his fans with the help of his son Wyatt. Many local fans came by to give him encouragement leading into the first moto.Photography by Rob Koy

Poor starts for Josh hurt his chances of getting up front early in the race and battling for a podium spot. Here you can see what a mid pack start looks like for a rider dealing with all the roost on the fastest first turn on the Pro Motocross circuit.Photography by Rob Koy

Josh goes wide around the tree turn to keep up his speed to enter the inside option lane before the finish line jump in the first moto. Many riders switched to the outside lane in the 2nd moto because the inside line had a massive braking bump as they entered.Photography by Rob Koy
Josh got another mid pack start in moto 2 and had to charge though the pack with his teammate in tow. Here Josh and Eli take the outside berm under the bridge to keep the speed up climbing Mt. St. Helen. Josh said that he had a few sketchy moments going up the hills because of the sun being in his eyes for both motos.Photography by Rob Koy
Josh loves Glen Helen, but he was not happy with whoever made the changes to the front rhythm sections of the track, “Unfortunately it didn’t make for a good racing track in the front,” said Josh. Josh was satisfied with his 6-6 moto scores to finish 6th overall and is looking forward to making improvements at Lakewood next week.Photography by Rob Koy
