James Stewart's Day At Washougal Motocross | MX 2016

James Stewart went 9-36 for 15th overall at Washougal MX, check out his race day in photos here.

Showa technician Todd Brown adjusts Stewart’s forks after the first timed practice. Washougal’s choppy conditions and hard pack base was forcing Stewart to go softer than normal on his fork settings.Photo by Preston Jordan

Stewart qualified 5th fastest and looked very comfortable doing it. James was one of only a few riders skimming the deep whoop section (at a very fast pace) that Washougal has before the finish line. If you have never seen the number 7 go through whoops, do yourself a favor and watch this guy hit a set and prepare to be amazed.Photo by Preston Jordan
Moto one James was in a fierce battle with Dean Wilson and Weston Peick for sixth and seventh for over half the race. Visibly tired, Stewart went back a little and finished 9th (one spot better than his first moto performance from Millville).Photo by Preston Jordan
In the second moto James was seen pulling off of the track early on. No word on what the culprit was this time in Washougal, but we hear that blisters might be what is eating at him once again. We will see Stewart back in Unadilla in two weeks and hopefully the time off from the schedule will allow his hands to heal.Photo by Preston Jordan
