The first 450SX Class race held in Houston was on March 15, 1974. Jim Pomeroy won the race on a Yamaha.

This will be the 49th time the gate will drop for a 450SX Class race in Houston.

From '74-'02 the Supercross was held at the Houston Astrodome. The Astrodome hosted 36 races including double-headers every season from '77-'83. This will be the 13th season in-a-row that the Houston Supercross will be held at NRG Stadium. NRG Stadium starting hosting the Houston Supercross in '03.

Ricky Carmichael won the last 450SX Class race ever held at the Houston Astrodome on a Honda in '02. Chad Reed won the first-ever race in NRG Stadium on a Yamaha in '03.

Houston was the site of the second 450SX Class race of all-time and was one of just two venues on the original 450SX Class schedule in '74. Houston was also the second venue to ever host a double-header.

Bob Hannah, Mark Barnett, and Jeremy McGrath are tied for the most 450SX Class wins in Houston with five a piece. Hannah swept the double-header's in Houston from '78-'79. Barnett also won four straight in Houston by sweeping the double-header's in '81-'82. The two riders earned their fifth career 450SX Class wins in Houston together by splitting the '83 Houston double-header.

McGrath became the fourth different rider to win three or more in-a-row in Houston by winning three straight from '94-'96. He also won back-to-back in Houston from '99-'00.

Jeff Ward, James Stewart, and Ryan Villopoto all have four 450SX Class wins in Houston. Ward became the third person to win four in-a-row in Houston but the first person to win Houston in four consecutive seasons. He did this from '85-'88.

Stewart was the fifth rider to win three in-a-row in the 450SX Class in Houston. He did it from '05-'07 and won again in '09. Villopoto became the sixth rider to win three in-a-row in Houston, doing it from '12-'14.

Damon Bradshaw is seventh on the all-time 450SX Class win list in Houston with three wins. He won three out of four races in Houston from '90-'93.

Jimmy Ellis ('75, '77), Carmichael ('01-'02), and Reed ('03-'04) are the only other riders to have multiple 450SX Class victories in Houston.

Three riders have earned their first career 450SX Class wins in Houston. Broc Glover in '80 and Jim Weinert in '76 did it in the Houston Astrodome. Trey Canard became the first rider to earn his first 450SX Class win in NRG Stadium in '11.

Five riders have won the Houston Supercross in both the 250SX and 450SX Classes. They are: Jeff Emig, Ezra Lusk, Windham, Stewart, and Villopoto. Andrew Short, Davi Millsaps, Justin Barcia, and Jason Anderson are all active 450SX Class riders who could join this group with a 450SX Class win in Houston, as they already have 250SX Class wins in Houston.

Suzuki has gone 31 straight seasons without winning a 450SX Class race in Houston.

Kawasaki has won seven of the 12 450SX Class races held at NRG Stadium, including the last three in-a-row. Honda has only won once in NRG Stadium.

The race was Dungey's 96th career 450SX Class start and his 69th 450SX Class podium.

Dungey's victory was KTM's first 450SX Class win in St. Louis and it was their 15th 450SX Class win of all-time.

In '07, Stewart (450SX Class) and Villopoto (250SX Class) combined for five race sweeps. In '15, Dungey (450SX Class) and Musquin (250SX Class) have already combined for five race sweeps. The record for race sweeps by brand in one season is nine by Honda in '91, but it was done by five different riders.

KTM has six 450SX Class wins this season and Honda has four. This could be the first time KTM ever had the most brand wins in a 450SX Class season.

Dungey has mathematically eliminated every rider except for two in the Championship Standings. With an 80 point lead, he will be looking to shave that down to just one rider in Houston.

Eli Tomac finished second place for the third time this season. It was his seventh podium of the season and ninth career 450SX Class podium.

Tomac has yet to be mathematically eliminated from title contention and is still riding at an up-front pace. He will be trying to make it two of three in Houston.

Anderson earned his second career 450SX Class podium with a third place finish. It was his first podium finish since the opening race of the season.

Cole Seely rode to his fourth consecutive top-five finish and seventh total top-five finish of the season. Seely and Dungey are the only riders to have a top-five finish in the past four races.

Weston Peick grabbed his fourth top-five finish of the season with a fifth. It was his seventh top-10 finish of the season.

Peick has been running up front in races all year long, but is still searching for his first career 450SX Class podium. Is Houston where he can get on the box?

Josh Grant finished in sixth place in St. Louis. It was his sixth top-10 finish of the season. Grant is having his best 450SX Class season since he had 13 top-10 finishes, including a victory, in '09.

Millsaps earned a seventh place finish in St. Louis. It was his fourth straight top-10 finish. Millsaps is one start away from his 125th career 450SX Class start.

Reed finished in eighth for his 11th top-10 finish of the season. It was his 183rd career 450SX Class start.

Broc Tickle rode to a ninth place finish in St. Louis. It was his eighth straight top-10 finish and his 35th all-time 450SX Class top-10 finish.

Blake Baggett rounded out the top-10 in St. Louis. He has a top-10 finish in 10 of the past 11 450SX Class races.

Seely, Anderson, and Baggett are all still looking to become rookie winners in the 450SX Class. They have all finished on the podium at some point in the season and Seely and Anderson both just finished in the top-five together. Can one of these riders breakthrough for their first 450SX Class victories?

Nick Wey made his 181st career 450SX Class start and finished 12th.

Shane McElrath earned his first career 250SX Class podium with a second place finish. He now has seven career top-10 finishes in 15 career 250SX Class starts.
