Red Bull KTM's David Kamo Secures 2nd In Hare And Hound Championship - Dirt Rider Magazine

Wendover, NV - Red Bull KTM Factory rider David Kamo secured 2nd overall in the AMA National Hare and Hound Championship chase after a great ride in the Nevada desert. The seventh round of the series started out well for Kamo after securing the holeshot and leading the way through the first 30 miles of the first 97 mile loop. Kamo was passed by KTM privateer Russell Pearson at the 30-mile marker but was able to maintain a fast-pace to stay close to the new leader. At the gas stop, Kamo lost a position to Joshua Morros who did not stop at the same gas check. After the gas stop, Kamo returned to the racing action and unfortunately got lost around mile-75. Fortunately, he only lost 30 seconds and was able to maintain his 3rd place position. Minutes later, Morros crashed which moved Kamo into 2nd. Kamo knew he was in a position to secure 2nd overall in the championship points and rode a safe and smart race through to the finish."I am really happy to wrap up 2nd place in the championship one month before the series ends. I have steadily improved this season and am really looking forward to an even better finish at the final round," commented Kamo after the event.Team Red Bull KTM would like to extend its thoughts and prayers to the Morros family in hopes of a speedy recovery for the injured Joshua Morros.Next Event: Round 8 - Lucerne Valley, CA - October 26, 2008Overall Results:
