Scottsdale, AZ - The Road 2 Recovery Foundation announces the 3Are You Too Cool for Skool2 Celebrity Charity Riders Clinic, benefiting the Road 2 Recovery Foundation. The clinic will be on Friday, October 19th in conjunction with the 4TH Annual CCMA Oceano Dunes Beach Race & Festival, located in Oceano California. The purpose of this event is to help find a cure for paralysis caused by spinal cord injury; and to help those who are injured and/or disabled. The generation of funds, awareness, hope and inspiration is the essence of this cause; and doing so through racing is the spirit.Your teachers for the day will include Multi-time AMA Hare and Hound champion Destry Abbott, 2004 WORCS champion Nathan Woods, defending 2006 WORCS champion Ricky Dietrich, Motocross of Nations champion and the current Factory Suzuki WORCS racer Ryan Hughes, and 125 West Coast SX Champion Nathan Ramsey.The clinic will take place on Friday from 9AM to 4PM. Lunch will be provided, along with an R2R goodie bag. The format will have each student rotate between instructors, giving them the chance to work with each pro.The cost for the 1 day class is $200 with all proceeds benefiting the injured rider1s fund. Register today at Celebrity Charity Riders Clinic .The course will include techniques on Starting, Cornering, Braking, and Jumping, negotiating the Whoops, picking the best lines, and using your Clutch properly. Learn to be more aggressive while gaining more confidence and control. Take notes, you will be tested throughout the racing season.Also on hand will be former factory Yamaha rider Jimmy Button giving all of you a crash course on proper dieting, training, pre-race warm ups and tips on what to look for during practice.Come out and make a weekend of it. In addition to the Riders Clinic there will be a Charity Dinner and Fundraiser benefiting Spinal Cord Research on Friday night and a BBQ on Saturday night-on the beach. On Saturday and Sunday you can see some awesome racing in the WORCS off-road race series, plus take in the final round of the 2007 International Freeride Watercraft Association World Tour.The Road 2 Recovery Foundation is dedicated to helping AMA licensed motocross members with financial assistance if they sustain career-ending injuries as well as providing motivational, emotional and spiritual support to these individuals and their families.
