Reigning WMA Champ Jessica Patterson Joins Moto XXXIn January 2005, Moto XXX proved once again to be a trendsetting entity in motocross by signing reigning Women's Motocross Association champion Jessica Patterson as a full member of its already successful race team. In doing so, the popular privateer squad became the first major AMA Pro Racing team to take on a female member and directly support the WMA series. And even though Moto XXX was obviously occupied with its attack on the 2005 Supercross series, a significant amount of time and energy has been put into Jessica's unique program and it's about to pay off.

To established motocross fans, Jessica Patterson needs no introduction. A fixture in women's racing for years, the 21-year-old from Tallahassee, Florida has a resume that boasts multiple Loretta Lynn's championships, victories at the annual Mammoth and Lake Whitney Nationals, the 2000 WML Pro title and the 2004 WMA Pro championship.Jessica spent time with the Moto XXX team during the early Supercross rounds, but got to work quickly in preparation for her WMA title defense. She took the opportunity to get some race testing done at the Lake Whitney Spring National in Texas and took home the Women's Open and Women's Pro division #1 plates as a result. The '05 season officially got underway for her last weekend at the "Prequel." The Glen Helen race is hosted Round 1 of the WMA Series and Patterson pitted right alongside teammates Justin Buckelew and Nick Evennou in the team semi, which is something she's excited about."It's a big honor to be the first WMA racer to ride out of a semi and be a part of one of the big teams", she says enthusiastically. "The professional environment alone gives me more confidence. With access to all the same resources the guys have, I'm going into my title defense with the best program I've ever had."Jessica and her #1 Honda CRF250R can be spotted in the Moto XXX semi at all of the WMA races along with her teammates riding the AMA series. In addition to her title defense, Patterson will be contesting Loretta Lynn's, the Florida Winter Am's, the WMA Women's Cup and possibly selected AMA National Motocross events. In addition to Moto XXX, Jessica Patterson is supported by American Honda, Honda of Houston, Fox Racing, Utopia Optics, Marshall's Racing, Akrapovic, Maxima, Dunlop, DP Brakes, CTi2, O'GIO, N-Style, ZLT, Fasst Co, Vortex, Carbon Fiber Works, IMS, Kicker, SDG USA, Fuel Motorsports, ARC Levers, Ride Eng., Sponsorshouse.com, DC Shoes, Nixon Watches, Roadanddirt.com, Vortex, Engine Ice, Pro Clean 1000, Hammerhead Designs, Twin Air, SFB Racing, Pro Wheels, & Staats Bicycles.
