Carmichael Races for Championship at SilverdomeIn just three THQ World Supercross GP/THQ AMA Supercross Series starts young James "Bubba" Stewart earned his first 250cc main event win. After claiming victory last weekend at Dallas' Texas Stadium, Stewart makes his 250cc debut at the Silverdome in Pontiac, Mich., this Saturday.

"It took me three races to win my first 250 race," said Stewart from the podium in Dallas. "I am so happy; I just want to tell my parents and Kawasaki thanks for everything. I have one under my belt and now I know how it feels."Stewart, 19, led all 20 laps in Dallas after winning the $1,500 Butterfinger Crisp Holeshot Award. The Haines City, Fla., native joins Kevin Windham, Mike LaRocco and Jeremy McGrath as the only riders to win in Dallas in the 125cc and 250cc classes.Carmichael earned his 61st consecutive podium finish with a last lap pass on defending THQ AMA Supercross Series champion Reed. Carmichael has a 29-point lead over defending champion Chad Reed heading into Pontiac and his last win at the Silverdome was in 2003.In the 125cc Eastern Regional THQ AMA Supercross Series Kawasaki's Grant Langston, of Murrieta, Calif., has a seven-point lead heading into the season finale. Langston, a former world champion, has three race wins on the season.Last year Yamaha's Reed, of Dade City, Fla., won his ninth THQ World Supercross GP/THQ AMA Supercross Series race of the season at the Silverdome, extending his series points lead to 37.
