Mercedes Gonzalez, nine-time women's National Motocross Champion and former professional mountain bike racer, is confirmed to teach the next WMA Rick Johnson Motocross School of Champions. Mercedes has been a Chief Instructor for Rick Johnson for the past few years and has helped many motocross racers, both men and women, improve their riding and racing skills. In 2000, she came out of motocross retirement at the request of Team Green Kawasaki to race a few select women's events. She won the women's class at Mammoth and finished on the podium at both WML pro events that she raced, along with Jessica Patterson and Stefy Bau.The school will be held at Mountain View MX in Sandy, Oregon, less than 45 minutes from Washougal MX, July 27th, a few days before the Washougal National. The track will be exclusive to the school.Mercedes will cover everything necessary to sharpen rider's technical riding skills, jumping, cornering, starts, line picking, proper body positioning and mental training. Along with Mercedes, 2001 Women1s Pro Champion, Tania Satchwell, who is currently 3rd in the points standings for the WMA pro championship, will assist in the school and be on hand to share her racing and PR experience.Full details available at www.womensmxassociation.com
