Off-Road legend Larry Roeseler and Paul Krause head to AfricaNot since 1977 has a three-rider team made up of American racers set out to face the most demanding off-road race in the world, the Dakar Rallye. KTM has teamed with Red Bull to make this happen. They reached into their bag of tricks and pulled out the winningest American rider of all time to lead the American Team. Larry Roeseler who is an icon to off-road racing and has won more Baja races than any other rider. Dakar is one of the few racers LR has yet to concur and '04 will be his chance.Roeseler has teamed with Paul Krause, another American has owned the desert at one time or another and is still ultra-fast. Krause has some Dakar experience and was very eager to get a second chance and taming the beast they call Dakar.The missing link at the press conference was the third rider. KTM is currently searching the States for that illusive third rider. They are looking at racers from all forms of off-road racing that think they might have what it takes to take on Dakar aboard a works KTM machine.The event is set to go off January 1st and concludes on the 18th of the same month. They start off in France, travel to Spain before crossing the sea to Africa.
