US World Trophy Team Out On Day One At The ISDE In France [VIDEO]

Thad DuVall injures wrist in first test

Day One was rough for the US World Trophy Team at this week's start of the International Six Days Enduro in Brive la Gaillarde. After winning the coveted team award for the first time at last year's event in Spain, the US World Trophy Team now finds itself basically disqualified after Thad DuVall injured his wrist in the first test of the day and was unable to continue. Each team has four members on its World Trophy Team and each score counts every day, so if a rider DNFs then the entire team is considered "DNFed".

The good news is that Thad’s teammates, Taylor Robert, Ryan Sipes and Kailub Russell, can continue to compete for individual honors, and Taylor is sitting in third overall individually, just eight seconds out of the lead. The Junior Trophy Team is fourth after one day and still in the running for the overall, which the Women’s team is still in good shape, despite the fact that Becca Sheets had mechanical problems and struggled to finish the event in the allotted time.
