Yoshimura on the Podium with Ryan Dungey

Chino, Calif. - January 12, 2010 - Yoshimura packed quite a punch at the premier of the Monster Energy Supercross Series Opener this last Saturday night at Anaheim's Angel Stadium. Powering Ryan Dungey and Austin Stroupe's Rockstar Makita Suzuki RM-Z450 and Andrew Short and all of Team Honda's Red Bull CRF450Rs, Yoshimura is on some fast bikes this season. And is it any wonder? With their technology, craftsmanship, and history, Yoshimura is the Leader in Performance.

This was Dungey's first entry in the premier class and although on paper it was a second place finish, those who watched the event, knew that it could have easily had a different ending. His Yoshimura powered bike catapulted him off the starting gate and was first to the turn. He spent the majority of the race in the lead until he was passed towards the end. Then Ryan mounted a charge but came up just a tad short at the end. Dungey and Stroup both captured monster holeshots. Stroupe in his heat race and Dungey in the main.

In the red corner, Andrew Short had his eye on a podium spot throughout most of the race, but he lost his position in the later laps to Kevin Windham and was just out of the top three. All night long, Short was on the gas and in the hunt. It looks like another good year for Andrew.

Yoshimura is proud to be a part of two great teams for 2010. Look for the Yoshimura logo to be up on the podium quite a bit during this exciting year.
