Hendersonville, NC: Defending 2009 winner of the Wiseco John Penton GNCC, Paul Whibley, nearly pulled off a repeat performance with a close third-place finish in the XC1 Pro class on Sunday at the Sunday Creek Raceway in Millfield, Ohio.

Whibley's third place in this GNCC is his fourth podium finish for the year on his Yamaha, putting him just 2 points from third overall for the season. With five races remaining, "The Axeman" Whibley is still in the hunt to retain his number-one plate in the GNCC XC1 Pro championship.

Other top finishers using Ohlins suspensions components are Jimmy Jarrett taking fourth on his Gieco/JG Off Road/Monster Energy Kawasaki, and Glenn Kearney riding for Husqvarna finishing sixth, giving Ohlins USA three of the top six finishers in the XC1 Pro class. This grueling round of the GNCC Championship was run in extremely exhausting conditions of deep mud, making Jarrett's finish astonishing with him still recovering from injuries.

In the XC1 Pro ATV class, Taylor Kiser rode his Yamaha to another second-place finish, his sixth of the season. Added to his one first-place in round two, Kiser is soundly in second and still a threat for the ATV championship.

Stacey Berger, Off Road Department Manager for Ohlins USA, said, "Paul on the podium again shows how well our development is advancing. His input for our TTX components used in off-road racing has been remarkable. He's now climbed back up into the top of the points after some early season bad luck so we're confident he's going to improve his ranking even more. We congratulate him and thank him for his hard work and for proving what the TTX cartridge kit and TTX shock that we sell to all riders can do. Congrats also to Kiser for his hard work, and his hard-charging riding style. Our podiums and top finishes were all on different brands of machines and we're proud of what that says about our products."
